The article deals with research on inclusive space in children’s inclusive literature. Today creating a Ukrainian inclusive educational environment is an important issue. However, a friendly space is as important as a friendly society. Inclusive literature, in particular literature for children, contributes to creating a friendly community. The peculiarities of the Ukrainian inclusive environment in the literary context are considered on the example of the book for children by Oksana Drachkovska “Non-jumping Bunny and his Brave Mother”. The aim of the writer and, accordingly, Mother Zaichykha from the given tale is to solve problems when creating such an environment. It is the environment where all children study together according to general education programs. The author creates an outstanding example of inclusive space where it is comfortable and good for everyone.
The article deals with the research on the essence of objects in children’s literature (on the book "American Tales" by L.F. Baum). The daily routine is skillfully combined with fairy-tale mood, it becomes possible due to the characters and the objects in these tales. The article describes the possible functions of objects in fiction, in particular, in a literary tale. The main attention is paid to the definition of functions performed by objects in the given fairy tales and the role of magic and magical objects in these works because the presence of magic objects in the text is one of the markers of fairy tales as a genre. Objects are defined as one of the important components of fairy tales. In addition to magical objects, fairy tales contain ordinary household items that perform the functions of various markers: create a background, describe the scene, characterize the characters of the epoch or place of action. An important role is played by the revival of objects, as well as the transformation of objects from ordinary to magical (a chest, book, pump, glass dog, and mannequin). Putting spells on objects is an important part of Baum's fairy tales. Revival is Baum’s favorite fairy-tale technique. In his works time, toys, mannequins, and stuffed birds come to life. This is done with the help of spells performed by wizards or gnomes. Objects in these tales serve as markers of his epoch. The author writes how and what the children played, focuses on the elements of interior design, the activities of the characters, as well as the fashion of that time. In most cases, such objects belong to the era of the author, without duplicating the folk tale tradition of magical objects. We conclude that the essence of objects in analyzed works is represented as follows: everyday objects that characterize the epoch, place of residence of the characters, daily habits; magical objects, the origin of which is not always known, and their magical power is often discovered by chance; objects that turn from ordinary to magical under the influence of magic. Thanks to the objects, a reader gets the opportunity to get additional characteristics of the characters, the idea of the world where the characters exist, and the characters’ (in) ability to use certain things influence the plot of fairy tales.
The article highlights the problem of a lonely man in Vasyl Stefanyk's short stories. It is noticed that the writer mentions fear and loneliness not only in short stories but also in his letters, and defines their nature: fear of unsettled life, hunger, cold, fear of losing loved ones, fear of loneliness, nightmares, the tragedy of ordinary person. It is determined that often Stefanyk's characters become lonely, forced, under the pressure of external circumstances. Old age and illness are the main causes of loneliness. Such heroes often find themselves a few steps away from the terrible phantasmagoric death and meet it in their home, where they no longer feel themselves protected. The native house becomes a place of danger, threat, anxiety, acting as a place of horror. There, the heroes have terrible pre-death visions, some try to get out of this locus, but are defeated. Someone succeeds, and he hopes for the best. It is concluded that homo solitarius in Vasyl Stefanyk's short stories are mostly old people who perceive loneliness as one of the inevitable stages of their lives. It is often inseparable from death. Homo solitarius are mostly silent or talk to animals, themselves, objects in the house, immersed in the past. Loneliness-death is inevitable and inevitable for them. They don’t protest, do not resist, understanding the futility of resistance and the depth of fate. The following short stories were mentioned: «Novyna», «Sama-Samiska», «Maister», «Leseva familiia», «Osin», «Pokhoron», «Skin», «Shkoda», «Anhel», «Dity», «Sviatyi vechir», «Palii», «Vona – zemlia», «Mariia»The main emphasis is on the works of the first period of Vasyl Stefanyk (1897 – 1901).
The article deals with the study of inclusive literature as a means of overcoming the existential crisis, which may occur to people with disabilities and those around them. Inclusive literature is the literature about and for people with disabilities; it highlights disability issues and helps to create a friendly inclusive space. The purpose of our study is to find out the potential of inclusive literature as a means of overcoming the existential crisis of people with disabilities and those who live next to them, to understand the reasons for seeking help from literature, to determine its role in forming a tolerant society. The main body of inclusive literature (relevant fiction and nonfiction literature) is determined, which can serve as a means of overcoming the existential crisis, it is found that writing such works is often sublimation (according to Zapfel). The creators of the analyzed works are people for whom disability is their own experience or the experience of loved ones, a significant part of those works can be considered as a motivational literature. The authors say their works to be revelations. The scientific novelty is that the existential crisis is seen as a crisis experienced by people with disabilities and those who experience disabilities with them, and inclusive literature is offered as a way out of it. This is both the way to create such literature and read inclusive works of various genres. We conclude that inclusive text is not only a necessary component of the modern literary process, but also of modern society, provided that it wants to exist on the basis of empathy, understanding and tolerance. It is especially important in the Ukrainian context, where people with disabilities have stayed away from the society for a long time. What is more, writing the article is the authors' attempt to share own experience in overcoming this crisis.
