The paper seeks to establish the role of religion and culture in the realization of women's rights to property in Nigeria. It begins by affirming that protecting women's rights to property in Nigeria is a fundamental step towards achieving the 5th Sustainable Development Goal of gender equality. The promotion and protection of these rights in any society are determined by several factors such as the customs, prevailing traditions, as well as the religious laws that control behavioral patterns in that society. In discussing this within the Nigerian context, the paper explores the tenets of Christianity and Islam that govern women's rights to property. The study used secondary data derived from articles that were sourced from Google Scholar. A total of nine articles was reviewed. The paper reveals that, culturally, women are viewed as inferior to men, and a male-child is generally celebrated and allotted higher portions of properties. However, the tenets of both Islam and Christianity do not disregard the woman in terms of property rights. The authors suggest that the prevailing discrimination against women has no religion backing, but a misguided exploitation of the low educational status of women in Nigeria.

The ability for individuals to effectively communicate their thoughts, ideas and feelings amongst fellow beings, is perceived as one of the greatest features distinguishing man from other living creatures on earth. The freedom to communicate such thoughts -in certain nations of the world -are perceived as one of man's inalienable rights as a free individual in the society. Consequently, scholars have propounded theories to aid explaining the trends of thought which modes of communication should follow. The proliferation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in the 21 st century into the media industry, seem to question the very foundations on which most renowned media and communications theory were founded on. Some scholars argue that political campaign experts have taken advantage of the adoption of innovations in AI technologies in the media to manipulate man's freedom to communicate and exercise his wishes in the political arena. Consequently, the paper adopts Creswell qualitative method for research in the social science since it promotes drawing logical deductions from the analysis of propositions and theorems. The paper observes that the adoption of 21 st century AI technologies in the media industries have distorted existing theories of media/communication. Furthermore, the proliferation of AI technologies for politicking, tends to adversely violate the inalienable rights individuals have to freely communicate their political opinions during elections. Media/communications scholars are admonished to extend research directed at understanding the degree of influence which AI technology exerts on media/communication theories with the view to addressing rising concerns for mankind and the media industry.

Traditional media is widely embraced by both the literate and illiterate population in different countries. Despite the wide coverage and acceptability of the traditional media in Nigeria, it has not favourably promoted migration issues, which has constituted national image crisis on an international scale. The media, having usually promoted their works with the mantra “voxidei, voxipopuli”, is thus burdened with the duty to liberate the masses by speaking truth to power, anything short of which is mere patronage of the people and contrary to the fundamental duties of the media as citizens of the world. This chapter also adopts secondary source of data collection and a content analysis model to analyse the data gathered, while the analysed data is presented in a narrative approach. The major finding of this book chapter is that, the known traditional media houses are playing around politics and money, bringing to life the saying that he who pays the piper dictates the tune, and this has in turn led to the continuance of illegal and dehumanising activities around the national borders of the country.

While most governments subscribe to boosting global energy supplies since it paves the way for improved economies, which translates to better living conditions and gainful employments which in turn boost government operations, the rising global demand for energy from all human endeavors have activated unparalleled consequences on the environment, resulting to harmful repercussions for government operations and processes all over the world. Hence, scholars argue that the rising demand for global energy by industrialized nations have further increased the vulnerability of governments' operations and processes, especially in countries where these energy sources abound. Consequently, governments, multinationals, and various interest groups are divided on how best to address the quandaries resulting from rising global demand for energy and its effect on the environment and government operations. Recommendations that would enhance government operations were proposed.
