All countries feel the impact of outbreak, which moves so fast, including border communities. Today, COVID-19 travels through the human respiratory system to one another and from one area to another including Sambas area. The purpose of this study was to investigate the leadership responses and efforts to prevent the spread of this global disease on the Malaysia-Indonesia border area, precisely in the city of Sambas. We divided the findings into two. First, the spread of COVID-19 in Sambas was declared an extraordinary event category, because Sambas is located in the border area between Malaysia and Indonesia, where the community's largest livelihood is working in Malaysia. Second, when Sambas was declared an extraordinary category of the spread of that deadly virus, the local government responded to this incident by setting specific policies, including not carrying out religious or other rituals that invited crowds. On one hand. the Sambas community responded well to the policy. However, for certain reason the local Sambal are still carried out daily activities with the excuse for daily needs.
This qualitative research aimed to review the usefulness of Research Skills Development framework (RSD) among higher education students in Indonesia. The RSD concept has contributed to research-based learning models among students in Australia, both among elementary and tertiary school students. Due to this research framework's success in Australia, we plan to review and see the usefulness of the RSD framework to university students in Indonesia. To facilitate this introduction, we have tried to review several important documents related to this RDS concept, application, evaluation together with rubric assessment. Furthermore, we reported it as a document to the introduction to the research development framework. The results of this document review will be published in one of the higher education academic journals in Indonesia. With the hope that this document will be the forerunner of introduction and development among students, especially those who are completing academic assignments involving research skills for publication purposes to assess academic communication skills. However, many things will challenge this kind of study, something new to the concept of confirmative studies in Indonesia, including several new terms in the research framework that require new understanding notations.
This research sets out the problems faced by Muslims. So great was the struggle of Muslims in fighting for Islam, but this could not be achieved by Muslims because the three major Islamic empires experienced decline in various fields, such as politics, military, economics, science, and culture. This study aims to reflect on western colonization in Islamic countries and then explore the positive side. This study applies a qualitative method. The approach used is the historical approach. Based on this research, it was revealed that the decline that occurred in the Islamic world was caused by the Islamic kingdoms no longer having militant rulers and tough militaries, resulting in rebellions that were difficult to control. Meanwhile, the progress experienced by Western nations was due to developments made in the fields of science and civilization, which were previously neglected during the advancement of the three great Islamic empires, especially the Ottoman Empire. The value of reflection from this research is that Muslims will return to glory if they are able to master all lines, be they military, science, culture, economics, politics, or other strategic fields.
