The reaction of (CF3)2P(CI)=NSiMe3 and Me3SiN=VCI3 in CH2CIz leads t o volatile [(CF3)2PN]zNVC12; the X-ray structure analysis shows a planar six-mem bered NVNPNP-ring with C2" molecular symmetry.
Syntheses and Structures of Cyclic and Acyclic Compounds Containing Vanadium(V) and Molybdenum(V1)The reaction of (CzF5)2P(C1) = NSiMe3 (2) with C13V = NSiMe, in CHzClz yields the eight-membered ring [(C2F5) SiMe3I4 (6) and (CF,),P(CI) = N -MoOCl, (7), respectively. The molecular structures of 3, 5, and 6 have been determined by X-ray diffraction.
Me3SiOPPh2NSiMe3 (1) reacts with NbCl5 and CpTiCl3 to form the eight-membered ring compounds [Ph2PNONbCl3]2 (2) and [Ph2PNOTiClCp]2 (3). The reaction of (C2F5)2P(Cl)=NSiMe3 (4) with MoO2Cl2 and MoOCl4 in CH2C12 quantitatively yields the compounds [MoOCl3-O-P(C2F5)2=NSiMe3]4 (5) and (C2F5)2P(Cl)=N-MoOCl3 (6).Through recrystallization from MeCN, compound 2 has been isolated and characterized by means of X-ray analysis as the MeCN adduct 2 a.
ChemInform is a weekly Abstracting Service, delivering concise information at a glance that was extracted from about 100 leading journals. To access a ChemInform Abstract of an article which was published elsewhere, please select a “Full Text” option. The original article is trackable via the “References” option.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
