The purpose of this study was to examine the existing level of English learning in Korea and China using the Metaverse, as well as the possibilities for future educational developments. This comparative study between Korea and China collected and examined two types of materials: literature and Internet news related to the research topic in order to achieve the research objectives. First, different articles were searched using the keywords 'Metaverse' and 'English', and removed duplicate and irrelevant articles. Second, the researchers examined 12 Korean and 15 Chinese journal articles. Third, from February 1, 2021, to February 28, 2022, the researchers did a media analysis on 37 selected Korean articles and 35 selected Chinese articles using the keywords 'Metaverse' and 'English'. Many learner awareness surveys on learning English using Metaverse have been found in the literature in both China and South Korea. However, the media research shows that many educational companies are developing and attempting to provide a condensed development and technical support, that was required in the dissertation. The results of this study will lead to a long-term collaboration between educational companies and public education, as well as recommendations for educational responses to the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the midst of rapid change.
A battery-charged electric-vehicle (EV) technology has recently been developing fast due to energy efficiency and environmental problems. To commercialize these EVs, the EV charging infrastructure should be completely installed. Power line communication (PLC) is a technology designed to use the existing power lines and support communications. As such, its application is under study in diverse fields such as in the outdoor, in-home, in-plane, in-ship, and in-vehicle scenarios. An ISO/IEC 15118 standard is pushing to standardize PLC as a technology that supports EV charging systems. To apply PLC to the EV charging system, this paper investigates the EV and EV charging structures and analyzes requirements for applying PLC. The PLC modem performance was also tested with the charged EV.
In order to provide basic data for the future development of special education-related textbooks, 187 papers were selected as search words for “special education” and “textbook” by the RISS(services operated by the Korean Educational Research and Information Service) to find out the frequency of works by period, disability area, textbook, and research method, while looking at language network analysis for three languages, groups, and so on. Research shows that the number of studies by period of curriculum in frequency analysis has gradually increased, but has decreased again since the revised 2015 curriculum period. The intellectual disabilities categories were the most common in the areas of disability, while content analysis was the most common in the Korean language and in music and research methods. In the case of language network analysis using keyword density, basic education courses, special schools, and primary schools were more central, and the study group, high schools, the blind students were relatively inactive. Based on this conclusion, the need for expanding the scope of textbook research from the perspective of guaranteeing the right to study by special education subjects, interest in the area of research alienation, and a re-discussion of the form of textbook use and method of provision were proposed.
This paper bases on the 2015 revised national high school mathematics curriculum of South Korea to discuss the characteristics of academic education and vocational education in South Korea, and establishes the educating model based on curriculum theory and practice. Through a new round of curriculum reforms, South Korea has infiltrated and implemented vocational education into the general education system, further broadening the development of vocational education.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
