Background. Organizational ambidexterity is listed among up-to-date concepts recommended for managers to cope with turbulence and multidimensionality of the business environment. The idea of combining both evolutionary and revolutionary organizational changes seems to be very attractive but challenging to implement. Although it has been widely discussed in the management-related literature for more than twenty years, it has not been explored thoroughly and it still remains an interesting topic for further research. Research aims. The aim of the paper is to analyze the literature contribution to the development of the ambidextrous organization concept as well as to identify the key problems and trends in research output. The research process is oriented to responding to the following questions: (1) What are the key contributions of the literature in the field to the development of the concept? (2) What are the key research topics and trends in the field? Methodology. Systematic literature survey is the applied methodology. The Scopus database is used as a source for the sampling process. Key findings. The analysis points out the following main areas of research interest in the field: (1) ambidexterity and ambidextrous organization conceptualization, (2) organizational management context (including managers) where these assumptions are embedded and studied, (3) innovations, organizational learning processes and creativity, and (4) strategic management aspects.
Today's sport in many ways is like business. Numerous concepts as well as characteristics are adequate for both. The role of leaders in sports and business is invaluable when it comes to reaching goals or creating positive work environment. The aim of the paper is to identify the role of trust in relationships within a sport team, particularly between the leader and the rest of the group (trust in leader), and to highlight the impact of trust on the effectiveness of leaders' work and successes achieved by a team.
The purpose of the paper is to analyze and investigate the level of employees' participation in socially responsible activities in one of the automotive factories located in Toruń, Poland. The company conducts many socially responsible initiatives; however, it cannot realize its CSR programs without engagement of its employees. The company is medium-sized enterprise, that is why every CSR activity and program can be realized by many managers and workers. One of the main reasons of conducting the study is a desire of verification if employees participate in CSR programs before the research was conducted, as also to measure if they are ready to take a part in socially responsible programs in the future. In order to achieve the aim of the research, the following objectives have been set: (1) to present the main assumptions of the corporate social responsibility concept; (2) to describe company's stakeholders and to show the potential benefits they can achieve thanks to CSR strategy; (3) to measure and analyze employees' participation in CSR programs conducted in the company and to check their readiness to engage in socially responsible activities in the future. The main limitations of the research are focus on one company and small research sample. The findings and their presentation are achieved based on the questionnaire survey described in the paper.
