Sesewanua Leaves (Clerodendron squamatum Vahl.) have the potential to be made as skin care cosmetic preparations but must be in the right formulation to achieve the desired effect. The aim of this study was to determine the physical stability of a cream from Sesewanua leaf extract. This study used a experimental method by making ethanol extract of Sesewanua leaves with a concentration of 0.5% and physical stability test. Physical evaluation was carried out before and after cycling test through organoleptic observation, homogenety test, pH test, dispersion test, adhesion test, viscosity test, centrifugation test and cream type determination. The results of the physical evaluation showed that F1 without Sesewanua leaf extract and F2 with Sesewanua leaf extract creams met the requirements of physical stability, so can be concluded that Sesewanua leaf extract can be formulated into cream preparations with concentration of 0.5% which is physically stable before and after cycling test. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui stabilitas fisik sediaan krim ekstrak daun sesewanua. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan membuat krim ekstrak etanol daun Sesewanua dengan konsentrasi 0,5% dan uji stabilitas fisik. Evaluasi fisik dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah cycling test melalui pengamatan organoleptis, uji homogenitas, uji pH, uji daya sebar, uji daya lekat, uji viskositas, uji sentrifugasi dan penentuan tipe krim. Hasil evaluasi fisik menunjukkan krim F1 tanpa ekstrak daun Sesewanua dan F2 dengan ekstrak daun Sesewanua memenuhi persyaratan stabilitas fisik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan ekstrak daun sesewanua dapat diformulasi menjadi sediaan krim dengan konsentrasi 0,5% yang stabil secara fisik sebelum dan sesudah cycling test. IDENTIFIKASI DAN PENETAPAN KADAR RHODAMIN B PADA JAJANAN KUE BERWARNA MERAH MUDA YANG BEREDAR DI KOTA MANADO Paulina V. Y. Rhodamin B, yaitu zat pewarna berupa serbuk kristal berwarna hijau atau ungu kemerahan, tidak berbau, serta mudah larut dalam larutan warna merah terang berfluoresan sebagai bahan pewarna tekstil atau pakaian. Jenis jajanan yang banyak dijumpai dan dicampuri dengan Rhodamin B, antara lain bubur delima, cendol, kolang-kaling, cincau dan kue-kue lainnya. Setelah dicampuri bahan ini makanan tersebut menjadi berwarna merah muda terang. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh membuktikan bahwa sampel-sampel kue berwarna merah muda yang beredar di kota Manado ada yang positif menggunakan Rhodamin B. Rhodamin B, which is a dye form crystalline powder colored green or reddish purple, odorless, easily soluble in bright red fluoroscence solution as dye of textiles or apparel. Types of street food that are often found and mixed with Rhodamin B, amon pomegranate porridge, cendol, fro, grass jelly and other pastries. After mix with Rhodamon B, all that food becomes light pink. The results of research has obtained prove that the samples pink cake that circulated in Manado citythere are positive use of Rhodamin B. Celery plants (Apium graveolens L.) contain flavonoids, saponins, 1% tannins, 0.033% essential oils, apiin, apigenin, choline, lipase, asparagine. which can inhibit bacterial activity. This study aims to formulate, and test the antibacterial activity of liquid celery herbal soap (Apium graveolens L) liquid soap preparations at concentrations of 1%, 2%, 4% and 8%. This study uses an experimental method by testing the parameters of the physical evaluation requirements of liquid soap preparations. Physical evaluation of the preparation includes organoleptic test, pH test, high test and foam stability, water content test, free alkali test, specific gravity test and irritation test. The results of the study on the quality test or physical evaluation of celery herbal liquid soap liquid with a concentration of 1%, 2%, 4% and 8% meet the requirements set by SNI. Antibacterial testing of celery herbal liquid soap preparations against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria observed on UV-Vis spectrophotometer produced a minimum inhibitory level of 1.267 for a concentration of 1%, 0.45 for a concentration of 2%, -0.037 for a concentration of 4%, and -0.124 for a concentration of 8 %. It can be concluded that liquid soap concentrations of 1%, 2%, 4% and 8% of celery herbal extract can be formulated as liquid soap preparations and have antibacterial activity at concentrations of 1%, 2%, 4%, and 8%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memformulasi, serta menguji aktivitas antibakteri sediaan sabun cair ekstrak etanol herba Seledri (Apium graveolens L) pada kosentrasi 1%, 2%, 4% dan 8%. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode ekperimental dengan melakukan pengujian parameter persyaratan evaluasi fisik sediaan sabun cair. Evaluasi fisik sediaan meliputi uji organoleptik, uji pH, uji tinggi dan kestabilan busa, uji kadar air, uji alkali bebas, uji bobot jenis dan uji iritasi. Hasil penelitian pada uji kualitas atau evaluasi fisik dari sabun cair Ekstrak Etanol Herba Seledri dengan konsentrasi 1%, 2%, 4% dan 8% memenuhi syarat yang telah ditetapkan oleh SNI. Pengujian antibakteri sediaan sabun cair Ekstrak Etanol Herba Seledri pada bakteri staphylococcus aureus yang diamati pada spektrofotometer UV-Vis menghasilkan kadar hambat minimum 1,267 untuk konsentrasi 1%, 0,45 untuk konsentrasi 2%, -0,037 untuk konsentrasi 4%, dan -0,124 untuk konsentrasi 8%. Cherry plants (Muntingia calabura L.) is a plant that has many properties in the treatment. One part of the plant that is widely used is the leaf which contain of flavonoid compounds, saponins and tannins contained in cherry leaves can inhibit bacterial activity. This study aims to formulate the liquid soap from ethanol extract of cherry leaves and test the antibacterial effectiveness of the liquid soap ethanol extract of cherry leaves with a concentration of 10%, 15% and 20% on the growth of Staphylococcus epidermidis bacteria. Liquid soap formulation of ethanol extract of cherry leaves with a concentration of 10%, 15% and 20% was conducted by laboratory experimental research. The results of testing the quality of liquid soap at a concentration of 10% meet the requirements according to the standards set by SNI namely organoleptic test, pH, high foam, moisture content, free alkali content, specific gravity. Concentrations of 15% and 20% did not meet the requirements for specific gravity testing. The test results of the antibacterial effectiveness of liquid soap ethanol extract of cherry leaves using the diffusion method with way of wells can inhibit the bacteria Staphylococcus epidermidis at concentrations of 10%, 15%, and 20% which categorize as weak. Salah satu bagian tanaman yang banyak digunakan ialah bagian daun yang mengandung senyawa flavonoid, saponin dan tannin yang terdapat pada daun kersen mampu menghambat aktivitas bakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memformulasi sediaan sabun cair ekstrak etanol daun kersen dan menguji efektivitas antibakteri sediaan sabun cair ekstrak etanol daun kersen dengan konsentrasi 10%, 15% dan 20% terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus Epidermidis. Formulasi sabun cair ekstrak etanol daun kersen dengan konsentrasi 10%, 15% dan 20% dilakukan penelitian dengan metode eksperimental laboratorium. Hasil pengujian mutu sabun cair pada konsentrasi 10% memenuhi persyaratan sesuai standar yang ditetapkan SNI yaitu uji organoleptik, pH, tinggi busa, kadar air, kadar alkali bebas, bobot jenis. Konsentrasi 15% dan 20% tidak memenuhi persyaratan pada pengujian bobot jenis. Hasil uji efektivitas antibakteri sabun cair ekstrak etanol daun kersen menggunakan metode difusi agar dengan cara sumuran dapat menghambat bakteri Staphylococcus Epidermidis pada konsentrasi 10%, 15%, dan 20% yang termasuk dalam kategori lemah. Candle tree is widely used traditionally as an antiparasitic and antifungal. Candle tree leaves have important ingredients such as alkaloids, saponins, tannins, steroids, anthraquinones, flavonoids. This study aims to formulate, evaluate, and test the antifungal effectiveness of cream preparations with M / A cream types of methanol extract of Candle tree (cassia alata L.) leaves at a concentration of 3.5%; 5.5% and 7.5%. Antifungal effectiveness tests were performed using the diffusion method for creams with the largest antifungal activity. Then the results of testing the effectiveness of the largest antifungal cream was obtained at a concentration of 7.5% with a 9.5 mm diameter of inhibition zone. Physical evaluation of the preparation includes organoleptic test, homogeneity test, pH test, dispersion test, adhesion test, and cycling test. All tests are carried out before and after cyling test. The results of the cream preparation study met the physical evaluation requirements before the cycling test and after the cyling test. Antifungal cream showed organoleptic, homogeneity, pH 8, spreadability test 6.67 cm and adhesion test 27.41 seconds after storage did not change. In conclusions from the study of 3.5% concentration cream; 5.5% and 7.5% methanol extract of Candle tree leaves can be formulated as a cream preparation because it is physically stable and has strong antifungal activity. Keywords: Candle tree (cassia alata L.), Cream, Candida albicans, Antifungal ABSTRAK Ketepeng cina banyak dimanfaatkan secara tradisional, antara lain adalah sebagai antiparasit dan antijamur Daun ketepeng cina memiliki kandungan penting seperti alkaloid, saponin, tannin, steroid, antrakuinon, flavonoid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memformulasi, mengevaluasi, serta menguji efektivitas antijamur sediaan krim dengan tipe krim M/A daun ekstrak metanol ketepeng cina (cassia alata L.) pada konsentrasi 3,5%; 5,5% dan 7,5%. Uji efektivitas antijamur dilakukan dengan metode difusi untuk krim dengan aktivitas antijamur terbesar. Kemudian dilakukan hasil pengujian efektivitas krim antijamur terbesar diperoleh pada konsentrasi 7,5% dengan diameter zona hambat 9,5 mm. evaluasi fisik sediaan meliputi uji organoleptic, uji homogenitas, uji pH, uji daya sebar, uji daya lekat, dan uji cycling test semua pengujian dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah cyling test. Hasil penelitian sediaan krim memenuhi persyaratan evaluasi fisik sebelum uji cycling test dan setelah cyling test. Krim antijamur memperlihatkan organoleptic, homogenitas, pH 8, uji daya sebar 6,67 cm dan uji daya lekat 27,41 detik setelah penyimpanan tidak terjadi perubahan. Kesimpulan dari penelitan pada krim konsentrasi 3,5%; 5,5% dan 7,5% ekstrak metanol daun ketepeng cina dapat diformulasi sebagai sediaan krim karena stabil secara fisik dan memiliki aktivitas antijamur yang kuat.
