Excess molar enthalpies H m E and volumes V m E were measured as a function of mole fraction at 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure for each of the 12 binary mixtures: diethylamine or dipropylamine + di-1-methylethyl ether, 1,1-dimethylethyl methyl ether, 1,1-dimethylpropyl methyl ether, tetrahydrofuran, tetrahydropyran, and 1,4-dioxane. The results were compared to H m E and V m E for related mixtures and the specific interactions noted. The NRTL, UNIQUAC, and UNIQUAC ASM models of liquid mixtures were fitted to the results. The experimental results have been correlated and compared with the results from the extended real associated solution (ERAS) theory.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
