The Era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 has been able to change the paradigm of government towards the contribution of Information Technology in providing fast, precise and accurate services to the public for better information service needs. Trends in Smart City Governance will also increase public and government participation in utilizing application data so that they can provide suggestions and criticisms quickly, easily and accurately. Makassar has a population of 1,469,601 people and is the highest compared to other regions in South Sulawesi. Makassar has produced around 1,200 tons of waste per day that goes to Tamanagappa landfills. Waste generated by each district is different from other districts, so it is necessary to do integrated waste management. To overcome this problem, Makassar City Government applies the Smart City concept that focuses on Smart Environment. This concept aims to reduce and utilize waste and create better energy sources. The research objective is to develop a system that can provide information to the public so that the performance of the Makassar City Sanitation Office becomes effective and integrated. Geographic Information System (GIS) is a system designed to capture, store, manipulate, analyze, organize and display all types of geographic data. GIS components consist of data, software, hardware, users, and applications. Research using the Spiral method with tools or applications used by implementing ArcView, ArcGis, and Map Info. GIS tools used are based on Open Source such as Google Maps by providing various types of libraries that can be directly used. The results showed 90% of respondents agreed that this application could be used.
IT Governance has provided hope in human life, especially waste management and environmental cleanliness services. The role of IT becomes very important when people want services that are fast, accurate and relevant. Technology using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) has provided opportunities and made it possible to interact easily. The purpose of this research is to provide a GIS for the city environmental and sanitation services in order to provide good services in creating a clean environment. The research method uses the system analysis method with a spiral model approach in system design. The results of the design of GIS have been able to improve the performance of waste management in the city of Makassar.
Sistem pendidikan jarak jauh (PJJ), yang dipersepsikan sebagai inovasi abad 21, merupakan sistem pendidikan yang memiliki daya jangkau luas lintas ruang, waktu, dan sosioekonomi. Sistem PJJ membuka akses terhadap pendidikan bagi siapa saja, di mana saja, dan kapan saja. Pada tahun 2018, angka partisipasi kasar pendidikan tinggi di Indonesia mencapai 33,3%. masih jauh dari pencapaian target nasional, yaitu 50% pada tahun 2024. Penelitian ini berfokus untuk merancang Learning Management System (LMS) untuk mendukung penerapan pembelajaran jarak jauh. LMS yang dikembangkan akan mampu mendukung penyusunan, pengandaan dan distribusi bahan ajar, proses penilaian belajar dalam berbagai bentuk model evaluasi belajar dan mendukung interaksi antara pengajar dan siswa melalui berbagai bentuk interaksi menggunakan media audio visual. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah sebuah LMS yang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan belajar mengajar secara jarak jauh maupun blended learning.
Security is a desired condition in order to achieve stability in the life of society. Security issues are often related to efforts to prevent and detect criminal acts in the community and along with technological developments various methods and devices are created and implemented to support security procedures. This research focuses on designing intelligent camera-based security systems with the support of image enhancement feature. The developed security system is the type of active security system that has the advantage of intercepting or providing real-time information on potential criminal acts that occur and this is done through system automation without involving humans as system supervisors. The developed security system is supported with digital image processing software to process snapshot and recorded images from system cameras with the aim of improving quality of visual images for the analysis purpose and also as digital forensic evidence that can be used in law enforcement related to criminal activity. The output of this research is active security system devices with the support of image quality enhancing software that can be used in various security and surveillance needs.
