The aim of this paper is to examine the role of knowledge sharing in the effects of intellectual capital and innovativeness on firm performance. Partial least square structural equation modeling method was used. This method is variance-based and non-parametric method since it does not have any distributional assumption. This method is preferred in the small sample size and non-normal distribution. According to the findings of this research, knowledge sharing plays mediator roles in the relationships between intellectual capital and firm performance. But knowledge sharing does not have any mediating effect in the relationships between innovativeness and firm performance. The most important limitation of this research is small sample size. Therefore, PLS-SEM is preferred in this research. This study reveals the importance of knowledge sharing on Intellectual capital and business performance. Main premise of this study is that the knowledge sharing would play mediator role in the relationship among intellectual capital and innovativeness and firm performance. This mediator role constitutes the research question of this study. In this context, therefore, the study contributes toward the literature for better understanding of the role of knowledge sharing.
The social entrepreneurship is important in meso (organizational) and macro (policymaking) levels. This paper focuses on a case study in Turkey. "Trusted Hands Food Safety Online Training Program" by Unilever Food Solutions is examined as an example of social entrepreneurship. It is aimed to support food safety awareness in the industry to create and certificate the chefs. Unilever Food Solutions has received the Food Security Special Award, a project developed and implemented by the Food Safety Association. In the first year, 5000 chefs in Turkey intended to complete the education of this field and to have a certificate. It started with the support of professional associations. The sustainability and private sector involvement plays an essential role in this case, which is such an important issue such as health and hygiene.
Aim of the study is to investigate the diversities of competitive advantage concepts and how those companies use their sources to provide sustainability and competitive advantage. Competitive advantage; in the information age, intends to aim at inclining to skills and abilities not easily imitated by competitors in order to capture competitive advantage. A semi-structured interview is conducted with three companies. This research allows the classification of resources by industry profile and can demonstrate differences in that profile. The findings show that intangible resources gains prominence as a competitive advantage and have more impact on performance in many companies as mentioned in other studies. A construction company, a food company and an automotive company are examined. The competitive environment pushes the companies to be innovative and to show corporate image in ways like social responsibility, where the know-how and intellectual property is one of the most important way for sustainability. Know-how and experience create deliver tangible results. The learning opportunities engage employees and reinforce company culture, where the companies operate in an environment where new technologies replace many core functions.
Amaç –Bu çalışmanın amacı, örgütsel öğrenmenin örgütsel performans üzerindeki etkisini araştırmaktadır. İşletmelerin sürdürülebilirliklerini sağlayabilmeleri için stratejilerini, politikalarını ve organizasyon yapılarını oluştururken mevcut küreselleşme ve rekabet şartlarını dikkate almaları gerekmektedir. Diğer işletmelerden farklılaşmak ve temel yeteneklerini geliştirerek müşteriye değer katmak ise ancak insan kaynaklarının ve onların çalıştıkları sistemin uygun bir şekilde oluşturulması ile mümkün olabilmektedir. Yöntem –Araştırmanın örneklemini Somali’ de Hormuud Telekom işletmesindeki 170 çalışan oluşturmaktadır. Bulgular –Araştırmanın sonucunda örgütsel öğrenmenin işletme performansına istatiksel olarak anlamlı bir etkisi olduğu bulunmuştur. Tartışma –Sonuçlar, örgütsel öğrenmenin örgütsel performansı etkilediğini göstermiştir. İşletmenin iç ve dış faktörlerinin sürekli değişmesi müşteri memnuniyeti ve rekabet avantajının artırılmasını zorlaştırmaktadır. Bu da örgütsel öğrenmenin önemini göstermektedir
