Time management skills cannot be released with student learning activities in project-based learning. The development of PjBL-based student worksheets is expected to not only empower higher-level thinking skills but also students’ time management. This study aims to develop project-based learning worksheets. This research was conducted by using the Plomp design research consisting of preliminary, prototyping, and assessment phases. The results of this research revealed that both of critical thinking and creative thinking skills had increased (medium category) and it was have an impact on improving student time management with an effect size of 14,18 (very high). There was a`positive correlation between HOTs with students’ time management skill (r=0,82). Both of critical thinking and creative thinking were involving mental processes at each stage of project implementation so students must be able to manage their time well. This happens repeatedly and structured. Finally, the implementation of PjBL-based student’s worksheet can improve student’s higher-order thinking skills and time management skills.
Previous study at three leading high school in East Java have revealed that student’s higher order thinking skills are good but their collaboration skills are still low. This study was aimed to reveal the effect of implementation the ASICC problem-based learning model on student’s critical thinking and collaboration skills. The study included quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent pre-post test control group design in second grade students in three leading high school in East Java. All instruments used are valid and reliable. Collaboration data that were normally and homogeneous were analyzed by t-test. The correlation between collaboration skills with critical thinking was analyzed with Pearson’s correlation. This study revealed that there were significant differences in student’s collaboration scores in the experimental and control classes. The ASICC class collaboration score is higher than the control class. There was a positive correlation between the ability of collaboration with critical thinking (r = 0.78). The ASICC learning model can be used as one of promising learning model to improve student collaboration skills and maintain critical thinking skills.
The process of scientific argumentation skills in biology learning at SMAN 1 Kediri is nonoptimal yet. This study aimed at improving students’ scientific argumentation using ASICC-based electronic modules. This Research and Development employed Plomp development model. The subjects of this study were X graders of MIPA SMAN 1 Kediri which consisted of 32 students. There were three stages of the Plomp model conducted i.e., preliminary research, prototyping, and assessment. The expert validation score gained for subject matter and linguistic was 85% (valid category), the validation score for design and media professionals' validation is 81% with a valid category, the teacher validation score is 93% with a very valid category, and the small group test score is 88% with a very valid category. Implementation of the ASICC-based electronic module had results such as 25 of 32 students got the N-Gain score in the high category, 5 students in the medium category, and 2 students in the low category. The ASICC-based electronic module on protist material is valid and effective to improve the scientific argumentation skills of class X MIPA students in SMAN 1 Kediri.
IbM ini bertujuan untuk memberikan penyegaran materi konesp dasar biologi sel dan molekuler bagi guru MGMP Biologi Kota Kediri yang berbasis bioinformatika. IbM dilaksanakan dalam bentuk workshop selama 1 bulan kepada guru anggota MGMP Biologi Kota Kediri. IbM Bioinformatika ini terdiri dari dua tahap kegiatan. Instrumen yang digunakan antara lain: lembar pre dan post test, lembar observasi keaktifan peserta pelatihan, buku panduan Bioinformatika, jaringan internet, PC/ laptop, dan LCD. Hasil tes akhir yang diperoleh peserta IbM mencapai 79,45 (n=20) atau mengalami kenaikan sejumlah 27,95 (N Gain = tinggi). Peserta IbM memiliki profil keterampilan yang beragam, mulai sangat baik sejumlah 25%, baik sejumlah 55%, cukup sejumlah 10%, dan kurang 10%. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa sejumlah 11 orang (55%) memiliki profil keaktivan yang sangat baik (lebih dari 3 kali memberikan respon tiga fokus observasi keaktifan), 4 orang (20%) termasuk baik yaitu (dua kali), dan 5 orang (25%) termasuk cukup (satu kali dalam memberikan respon tiga fokus observasi keaktifan). Hasil angket umpan balik, menunjukkan bahwa mutu nara sumber, ketersediaan sarana penunjang IbM, representasi lokasi/ tempat, dan pelaksanaan termasuk baik, namun aspek kedisiplinan dan ketercukupan waktu perlu didesain ulang untuk program berikutnya karena masih memiliki nilai yang kurang.
Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan wawasan guru IPA Kabupaten Kediri tentang penelitian dan karya tulisi ilmiah. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk seminar yang dilanjutkan dengan FGD kelompok. Tahap seminar berupa paparan materi yang memuat praktik terbaik hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi UNP Kediri. Materi seminar berupa praktik terbaik tentang teknik penentuan topik, judul, penentuan metode penelitian, penyusunan instumen dan analisis data, pengenalan kode etik ilmiah, plagiasi dan upaya menghindari plagiasi. FGD berujuan untuk memfasilitasi peserta seminar yang memiliki kendala baik dalam meneliti maupun dalam menyusun karya tulis ilmiah . Data berupa ragam kendala guru IPA dalam meneliti dan menyusun karya tulis ilmiah diinvetaris oleh peneliti. Peneliti bertindak sebagai observer partisipan yang terlibat langsung selama dua tahap kegiatan. Data yang terkumpul ditabulasi dan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Kendala guru IPA dalam melaksanakan penelitian antara lain belum adanya mitra yang berperan sebagai pendamping, terbatasnya wawasan tentang ruang lingkup penelitian, dan terbatasnya wawasan tentang analisis data. Kendala guru IPA dalam menyusun karya tulis ilmiah antara lain: guru IPA belum mengetahui plagiasi, keterampilan mendeskripsikan masih kurang, dan banyaknya tawaran dari pihak eksternal tentang layanan jasa pembuatan karya tulis ilmiah. Program ini digunakan oleh guru untuk menyampaikan kendala dalam meneliti dan menulis karya tulis ilmiah sekaligus mendapatkan umpan balik alternatif solusi yang dapat dilakukan oleh guru IPA dan UNP Kediri dalam bentuk penelitian dan publikasi bersama-sama.
