Theft of intellectual property has become one of the most visible problems in today’s’ knowledge era. Currently, Bollywood industry is in trouble, yet there are signs that it is indeed emerging from the doldrums. Through this research paper we primarily aim to find out the possible reasons for the customers opting for piracy. For accomplishment of this objective a structured questionnaire was designed. A total of 250 respondents were surveyed in this study. The study brings forth that easy availability and convenience are the major proponent of piracy.
