Many studies confirm the importance of the role of women in theeffectiveness of government programs, especially the programs aimedat improving family welfare. This study aims to examine the effect ofthe government program of direct cash transfers (BLT) on the humancapital of children in households headed by women in Indonesia.Data for the study was obtained from IFLS (wave 5) and analyzedwith multiple linear regression. The analysis results show that thereis a negative effect of BLT on the education of children. Previousstudies state this is due to the changing behavior of the recipienthouseholds or the spillover effects on the non-recipient households. This research proposes a different reason, such as social discriminationagainst households headed by women. The solid patriarchal culturein Indonesia often ignores female-headed households, so the numberof households receiving social protection programs is relatively verylimited. How to Cite:Setyari, N. P. This study aims to analyze the synergy between tourism and agriculture to increase the exchange rate of farmers in the Tabanan Regency area. A literature review approach with a focus on critical review was used in this study. Based on previous research, the study looked at how the Tabanan district's policies affect how tourism and farming work together. The components analyzed are the rationalization and realization of policy implementation related to the analyzed review. This research is a critical literature review to assess, compare, and compile strategy characteristics. The results obtained from the synergy between tourism and agriculture in Tabanan Regency have the potential to be implemented to increase the farmer exchange rate. The idea of mutualism between the two sectors is expected to help tourist villages grow. Improving the size and quality of tourist villages, with the help of local governments, will lead to changes affecting farmers' incomes and exchange rates. They will be able to see the well-being of their farmers. Factors that must be realized to make this synergy concept a success include: 1) the Tabanan Regency Government can facilitate the development of tourist villages; 2) farmers are expected to be open to accepting synergy models of work with the tourism sector, and 3) tourism actors assist farmers in identifying local potentials that have economic value. The policy will likely lead to more and better tourist villages, raising farmers' exchange rates and improving their lives. In conclusion, combining tourism and agriculture makes much sense. The rationalization of policies that local governments and farmers work on can help increase farmers' exchange rates locally and regionally.
This study is aimed to look at the effect of credit sourced from the banking sector on the MSE’s income in each Regency/City of the Bali Province. This is important because the inclusive development index in Bali Province tends to increase, but the standard deviation for each Regency/City shows an increase until 2017. This condition indicates that development is still relatively unequal between Regencies/ City. By using the data from the Economic Survey 2016 from BPS and processed using the Propensity Score Matching (PSM) method, the results confirm that credit recipients have significantly higher incomes than those who do not receive. Theoretically, additional capital accumulation will encourage faster economic growth in relatively poor areas compared to richer areas, causing convergence in the two regions. The results of the analysis show that MSE actors in districts with lower growth get higher additional income, thus enabling equitable development in Bali.
