Antenna structures for which the input impedance and radiation patterns vary periodically with the lo@rithm of the frequency are described. For a particular class of these structures the variation of the electrical characteristics over a period is negligible, the result being an antenna for which the impedance and patterns are essentially independent of frequency over bandwidthsThe antennas are linearly nal beams of approximately equal principal plane beamwidths are obtained. The beamwidth may be controlled to a considerable extent by the geometry of the structure.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
