This research aims to determine enhancing students mathematical problem solving through the implementation of accelerated learning. This study is a quasi experiment with control group pretest-postest design. The study had been conducted with 66 students of SMP in Bandung. The experiment group obtained accelerated learning and control group obtained expository learning. Data was collected from students trough mathematical problem solving test. Data was analyzed using average of difference test that was Mann-Whitney and showed that the enhancement of mathematical problem solving ability of students who have obtained accelerated learning are better than students who have obtained expository learning.
This study aimed to improve students' mathematical understanding skills. The understanding ability is students' ability to understand the concept of the material, not just memorize the material. When students understand the concepts of differential calculus, students can quickly solve problems in differential calculus. The students' understanding gained in the differential calculus material will be the basis for understanding the integral and advanced calculus material. However, the current conditions where the Coronavirus that has hit the world, including Indonesia, have resulted in students having to study from home with a learning process that is carried out online. Students cannot access books in the library and limited credit to access teaching materials from the internet because the learning materials owned by students are limited. It makes it difficult for students to learn, so students' mathematical understanding abilities are low. The M-APOS learning approach was used in this study to answer this problem. The study results found that learning with this approach has succeeded in increasing students' mathematical understanding abilities on derivative material. This research is an experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group research design.
Kualitas pendidikan dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya adalah proses pembelajaran. Proses pembelajaran merupakan salah satu unsur penting untuk mencapai keberhasilan dalam pembelajaran. Dalam dunia pendidikan, strategi pembelajaran semakin berkembang dan menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih menarik dan bermakna bagi siswa. Secara umum, strategi adalah alat, rencana atau metode yang digunakan untuk menyelesaikan suatu tugas( Beckman,2004:1)Salah satu strategi pembelajaran yang populer adalah melalui permainan. Strategi ini memanfaatkan unsur unsur permainan dalam proses pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan keaktifan siswa. Permainan memiliki daya tarik tersendiri bagi siswa karena menggabungkan elemen kesenangan, interaksi sosial dan tantangan yang menarik.
This research was conducted to determine the independence of student learning in calculus courses conducted online based on gender. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The subjects in this study were 34 biology education students. There are 4 male students and 30 female students. Methods of data collection using a scale of learning independence. The results showed that there were significant differences in the learning independence of male and female students. Female students outperform male students for all indicators of independent learning. The percentage of the average score of male students 'learning independence was 59.37, while the percentage of the average score of female students' learning independence reached 66.54. Keywords :
<p>Most students find it difficult to visualize in a three-dimensional coordinate system in a spatial analytic geometry course, so they need learning videos that can help them. The purpose of this study was to determine the results of an expert team's validation of a learning video about the three-dimensional coordinate system for a spatial analytic geometry course. In addition, this study also aimed to see the students' responses to the three-dimensional coordinate system learning video for the spatial analytic geometry course. This research used the ADDIE development research method (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). This research was conducted in the Mathematics Education Study Program at Pattimura University. The validation results of a team of 3 experts had an average score was 3.74. Based on the validation criteria, the expert team is in the very valid category. Furthermore, the total score obtained from the student response questionnaires is 1304 which is in the good category. The recommendation from this research is that further research needs to be done to see whether the use of this learning video can improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities in a three-dimensional coordinate system.</p><p><strong>BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: </strong>Sebagian besar mahasiswa kesulitan melakukan visualisasi dalam sistem koordinat dimensi tiga pada mata kuliah geometri analitik ruang sehingga membutuhkan video pembelajaran yang dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam melakukan visualisasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hasil validasi tim ahli terhadap video pembelajaran sistem koordinat dimensi tiga pada mata kuliah geometri analitik ruang. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk melihat respon mahasiswa terhadap video pembelajaran sistem koordinat dimensi tiga pada mata kuliah geometri analitik ruang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (<em>Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate</em>). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Prodi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Pattimura. Hasil validasi tim ahli yang berjumlah 3 orang diperoleh jumlah skor rata-rata mencapai 3,74. Berdasarkan kriteria kevalidan validasi tim ahli termasuk kategori sangat valid. Selanjutnya, diperoleh jumlah skor total hasil dari angket respon mahasiswa adalah 1304 berada pada kategori baik. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini adalah perlu dilakukan penelitian lanjutan untuk melihat apakah penggunaan video pembelajaran ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis mahasiswa pada sistem koordinat dimensi tiga.</p>
