Instruction is a form of information exchange with the aim to provide understanding and influence on the behavior of martial arts athletes by the trainers. Clear instructions, will facilitate the athlete in understanding the message delivered, will automatically also affect the performance of athletes in the game. Therefore, to facilitate and clarify in the delivery of instructions, the need for non-verbal body language as a supporter of such verbal instructions. Body language is a process of exchanging information that is done by using limbs as a medium of information. Although every body movement has a variety of meanings for everyone. However, in martial arts the units of Unitomo Surabaya made certain movements which were considered to be able to support verbal instruction, then the movement was given a meaning which was in accordance with the rules of usage and on the basis of mutual agreement by trainers and athletes, and the communication process was made as tradition by the group.Keywords: instructional design; non-verbal communication; athlete
The people of Madura are well aware of the rituals of prayers offered to the tombs of leaders, both religious leaders and personalities considered as elders of the community. The pilgrimage to the tomb then became a familiar activity conducted by the community. Not only are certain days considered as having special value, but pilgrimages also take place every day. The pilgrimage was then integrated into the religious tourism of Madura. Although there is a lot of religious tourism, Madura did not apply the concept of halal tourism. Even the development of tourism alone has not been done optimally and tourism is the main development sector in Indonesia in general.The role of social media and technology 4.0 is highly anticipated for the development of tourism and the introduction of the halal tourism concept in Madura. Unfortunately, social media and information technologies have not been widely used to develop tourism potential, especially the movement to achieve halal tourism in the Madura region. The presence of the government is also perceived as insufficient in the development of tourism potential and the absence of the concept of halal tourism in regional development. This research attempts to determine how society and government translate the halal words into tourism development and how social media contributes to developing the halal tourism potential of their region.
this study uses qualitative methods, using the interpersonal communication theory of Josep De Vito. The purpose of this research is to know how Interpersonal communication between Team Carl's Jr. Kertajaya with customers can improve the assessment. In the service undertaken by team Carl's Jr. With customers always involve interpersonal communication to facilitate the work process as well to achieve the desired objectives. This research shows that interpersonal communication involves several aspects of achieving attitude change, opinion change, behavior change, and social change. Some of these aspects occur in several stations that are in service ranging from cashier, dining team, marketing, as well as supervisors with customers. Interpersonal communication here is used by the team to get the ease of reaching the goal, the cashier to upselling, the marketing team in introducing new products as well as facilities for customer loyalty, dining teams to make customers more comfortable, as well as supervisors in ensuring customer convenience during transactions. So that good interpersonal communication will generate customer satisfaction and help improve the service.
This study aims to determine the perception of catcalling experienced by students at Dr Soetomo University Surabaya. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method with a case study approach. The data collection technique used is observation, namely making observations, interviews with resource persons and reading or viewing documents related to this research. The key informants who were used as resource persons were 5 people. And the results of this study indicate that the perception of catcalling experienced by university students Dr. Soetomo Surabaya is considered an act that leads to sexual harassment. This causes students who experience catcalling to feel fear.
City Brand is an identity, symbol, logo, or merk of a particular city which has aimed to look for the specialty of certain city. The specialty of city is used as a society product to attract tourists, investors, residents, and talented people. Thus, the objectives of this study is try to determine the positioning and making the city branding in Bangkalan, East Java, Indonesia. The expected target is the improvement of society awareness toward tourism object and the renovation of tourism object in Bangkalan. Furthermore, this study is conducted for 3 years started with the collection of primary data. This primary data will be the material of analysis in the second year. The results of the previous analysis will be the basis for the implementation of the third-year study. In addition, this study is also used survey, field research, interview with some elements of society, investigate the real condition of tourist destination and tourism stakeholders in Bangkalan. Afterwards, the result of this study shows the lack of readiness from the government in mapping the area and the concept of tourism in Bangkalan. Moreover, the society awareness to maintain the security and comfort of tourism place are also an obstacle to create city branding in Bangkalan. But religious tourism can be developed as proper as the jargon of Bangkalan itself.
