Objectives:To investigate the short-and long-term outcome of fetuses with increased nuchal translucency (NT) in Japanese population. Methods: A total of 152 fetuses with increased NT (> = 95th centile) which were referred to our institute between September 2004 and March 2009 were reviewed. All parents were offered karyotyping. When the karyotyping was normal, a detailed ultrasound evaluation was performed at 18-21 weeks of gestation. Clinical examination of the neonates was performed by a pediatrician.
