TEXTURE ANALYSIS OF ZIRCALOY-4 ALLOY AbstractThis study established a relationship between texture in Zircaloy-4 for different reductions obtained by cold rolling reductions (30% and 50%), annealing temperatures, in the range from five minutes to an hour, as well as morphological analysis of alloy microstructure. Analyses were made of the evolution of the texture of the material through the pole figures and from measurements of micro and macrotexture obtained by Electron Backscattered Diffraction techniques and X-Ray Diffraction. We note that the cold rolling assisted the recrystallization process, in addition to influencing a basal plane texture parallel to the rolled direction of the alloy.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
