<p>The eruption of Merapi mountain has primary and secondary hazard and may damage to the land. In detail, the hazards are land degradation is a loss of some or many of germplasm and changes in plant biodiversity. The others hazard including loss of water catchment areas, the destruction of forests, and even the closing of the water source, as well as the loss of water channels. The burried of soil and soil formation inhibition were caused by the repeated eruptions of Merapi, beside the loss of roads access to agricultural land and loss of land ownerships boundaries by the eruption and cool lava. Materials of eruption are sand and pyroclastic materials, as well as the nature of cementation require special techniques and technology to use the land as new farmland. Land restoration efforts can be done with the land management by reforestation on government-owned land for water catchment function, agroforestry forage grass based, grazing field on land owned by the village and residents, with the use of organic materials in the eruption sandy soil ameliorant.</p>
Indonesia adalah negara yang memegang teguh ajaran agama, sehingga perilaku seksual menyimpang tentu tidak dapat diterima begitu saja. Di sisi lain Indonesia merupakan negara yang mengakui HAM, di mana kaum LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Biseksual, dan Transgender) merasa mengalami diskriminasi dan pelanggaran HAM karena orientasi seksual mereka yang menyimpang. Sementara itu, orientasi seksual sebenarnya tidak ditentukan dalam UDHR 1948 yang menjadi pandangan universal PBB terhadap HAM. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian doktrinal dengan menggunakan pendekatan hukum yuridis-normatif yang bersifat kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif-analitis, untuk menemukan data sekunder berupa norma hukum HAM dan norma agama yang berlaku terkait dengan isu LGBT, kemudian menganalisa data tersebut secara deduktif dari kedua perspektif yakni HAM dan agama. Kajian mengenai isu LGBT perspektif HAM dan agama dalam lingkup hukum di wilayah Indonesia dilakukan agar didapatkan pertautan sebagai peluang untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan yang muncul dari isu LGBT. HAM adalah hak dasar yang diakui di Indonesia, akan tetapi ada pembatasan yang ditetapkan UU, moral, etika, dan nilai agama yang menegaskan bahwa setiap manusia di samping memiliki hak asasi manusia untuk dilindungi, mereka juga memiliki kewajiban untuk menghormati hak asasi orang lain dan juga ketertiban masyarakat sekitar.
The study aimed to develop indicators to measure the implementation of a new model for internal auditors in government organizations and their support of good public governance. Data was collected through a survey, with questionnaires, and interviews with key informants. Respondents were internal auditors from various government organizations. Data were analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative analysis. Internal auditors can carry out roles under a new model if they receive support in the form of leadership commitment. Currently, the dominant role of government internal auditors is as a watchdog. Roles as consultants and catalysts have begun to be implemented, although they are not yet optimal. The control variable provided the highest support for good public governance, while the audit knowledge variable provided the lowest support. The government needs to focus on increasing the quantity and capability of internal auditors through training, outreach, and technical guidance.
IntroductionThe COVID-19 pandemic has caused disruptions in educational institutions across the country, prompting medical schools to adopt online learning systems. This study aims to determine impact on medical education and the medical student’s attitude, practice, mental health after 1 year of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia.MethodsThis study utilized a cross-sectional design. An online questionnaire was distributed digitally to 49 medical schools in Indonesia from February–May 2021. A total of 7,949 medical students participated in this study. Sampling was carried out based on a purposive technique whose inclusion criteria were active college students. This research used questionnaires distributed in online version among 49 medical faculties that belong to The Association of Indonesian Private Medical Faculty. Instruments included demographic database, medical education status, experience with medical tele-education, ownership types of electronic devices, availability of technologies, programs of education methods, career plans, attitudes toward pandemic, and the mental health of respondents. Univariate and bivariate statistical analysis was conducted to determine the association of variables. All statistical analyses using (IBM) SPSS version 22.0.ResultsMost of the respondents were female (69.4%), the mean age was 20.9 ± 2.1 years. More than half of the respondents (58.7%) reported that they have adequate skills in using digital devices. Most of them (74%) agreed that e-learning can be implemented in Indonesia. The infrastructure aspects that require attention are Internet access and the type of supporting devices. The pandemic also has an impact on the sustainability of the education program. It was found that 28.1% were experiencing financial problems, 2.1% postponed their education due to this problems. The delay of the education process was 32.6% and 47.5% delays in the clinical education phase. Around 4% student being sick, self-isolation and taking care sick family. the pandemic was found to affect students’ interests and future career plans (34%). The majority of students (52.2%) are concerned that the pandemic will limit their opportunities to become specialists. Nearly 40% of respondents expressed anxiety symptoms about a variety of issues for several days. About a third of respondents feel sad, depressed, and hopeless for a few days.ConclusionThe infrastructure and competency of its users are required for E-learning to be successful. The majority of medical students believe that e-learning can be adopted in Indonesia and that their capacity to use electronic devices is good. However, access to the internet remains a problem. On the other side, the pandemic has disrupted the education process and mental health, with fears of being infected with SARS-CoV-2, the loss of opportunities to apply for specialty training, and the potential for increased financial difficulties among medical students. Our findings can be used to assess the current educational process in medical schools and maximize e-learning as an alternative means of preparing doctors for the future.
Over the past decade, plant DNA barcoding has emerged as a scientific breakthrough and is often used to help with species identification or as a taxonomical tool. DNA barcoding is very important in medicinal plant use, not only for identification purposes but also for the authentication of medicinal products. Here, a total of 61 Indonesian medicinal plant species from 30 families and a pair of ITS2, matK, rbcL, and trnL primers were used for a DNA barcoding study consisting of molecular and sequence analyses. This study aimed to analyze how the four identified DNA barcoding regions (ITS2, matK, rbcL, and trnL) aid identification and conservation and to investigate their effectiveness for DNA barcoding for the studied species. This study resulted in 212 DNA barcoding sequences and identified new ones for the studied medicinal plant species. Though there is no ideal or perfect region for DNA barcoding of the target species, we recommend matK as the main region for Indonesian medicinal plant identification, with ITS2 and rbcL as alternative or complementary regions. These findings will be useful for forensic studies that support the conservation of medicinal plants and their national and global use.
