This present study aims to investigate the essence and values of moderate Islam and internalize them in the process of education. The research findings are expected to be able to contribute a wide range of knowledge as one of alternatives to prevent and overcome symptoms of extreme and radical actions in students’ religious activities. It was a qualitative descriptive study by employing library research. This study highlights the imbalance between the concept of Islamic teachings demonstrating moderate values and the actions eroding the moderate Islamic values. Education plays a pivotal role to bring the image of peaceful Islam back by internalizing the moderate Islamic values in the process of education. The results reveal that (1) moderate Islam refers to a form of Islam that emphasizes the values of moderation between the ‘left-wing extremist group’ (liberal group) and the ‘right-wing extremist group’ (fundamental group) in implementing Islamic teachings; (2) moderate Islamic values include the values of tolerance in showing attitudes, the value of tolerance in respecting diversity, the value of inclusiveness in accepting something new with lots of strengths, the value of logic and flexibility in understanding texts, the value of relevance in interpreting texts by deeming their contexts, the value of innovation in solving problems that the answers have not been stated in the texts yet, and the value of social transformation; (3) the process of internalization covers three stages, namely: the stages of value transformation, value transaction, and trans-internalization. The first stage copes with the process that is carried out by teachers in informing the values of moderation conceptualized in Islamic teachings. The next stage promotes that the values of moderation are interactively communicated between teacher and students. The last stage suggests that familiarizing behavior and actions that represent the moderate Islamic values is performed through not only verbal communication, but also mentality and personality.
Era globalisasi akhir-akhir ini mulai berdampak pada pada kehidupan masyarakat Indonesia. Era globalisasi ini ditunjukan dengan maraknya perkembangan teknologi dan informasi yang mengakibatkan perubahan dalam kehidupan seseorang dalam segala bidang. Termasuk perubahan terhadap budaya, perubahan tersebut ditunjukan dengan dampak pada kebudayaan masyarakat Indonesia, sekarang masyarakat Indonesia lebih menyukai kebudayaan barat dengan meninggalkan kebudayaan asli Indonesia termasuk kesenian. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan ekstrakulikuler art painting dalam meningkatkan kreativitas siswa kelas tingkat tinggi pada kompetensi pembelajaran abad 21 di sekolah dasar. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian lapangan (field research) dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan beberapa teknik diantaranya observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa ekstrakulikuler art painting di SDN Candi Areng diikuti oleh siswa tingkat tinggi yaitu kelas 4-6. Ekstrakulikuler ini diadakan setiap satu minggu sekali pada hari senin pukul 12.00-14.00 setelah siswa melaksanakan proses pembelajaran. Ekstrakulikuler art painting di SDN Candi Areng sendiri dalam pelaksanaanya sangat diminati oleh para siswa. Minat siswa tersebut ditunjukan dengan banyaknya siswa yang mengikuti pelatihan tersebut. Ekstrakulikuler art painting di SDN Candi Areng dilaksanakan dengan beberapa langkah-langkah. Dengan langkah-langkah yang dilakukan siswa kelas tingkat tinggi tersebut, menjadikan siswa dituntut untuk lebih berpikir, dengan siswa berpikir munculah sebuah kreativitas dalam diri siswa. Kreativitas menjadi kompetensi yang sangat penting dalam kompetensi abad 21, karena kreativitas ini menjadi kompetensi yang mampu membuat siswa lebih bekreasi terhadap segala sesuatu yang siswa temukan
Promoting moderate Islam in the education sector to prevent radicalism and violent extremism, particularly in Indonesia’s Islamic universities has been considered important. This study demonstrated how values of moderate Islam empower student to prevent radicalism and violent extremism in university. This research is qualitative case study. Eight students and two teachers at a public Islamic university in Central Java, Indonesia were recruited to participate. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and observation. The result of the study shows that the values of tolerance, inclusivity, flexibility, and objectivity in understanding religious texts were internalized to empower students as agents of religious moderation. The presentation of learning materials were adopted from national journals, reputable international journals, websites, and official social media platforms for moderate Muslim intellectuals. The materials contributed significantly to the prevention of hate speech and hoaxes.
Suicide notes are messages left by individuals who commit suicide or who intend to commit suicide. These written messages express the victims' feelings that were not expressed when they were alive. And thus, this qualitative study intends to investigate the characteristics of linguistic features of suicide notes written by eleven male well-known individuals. The approach to this study is qualitative content analysis. Data were obtained from suicide notes written by eleven male well-known individuals. These notes were retrievable online. The researchers read, classified, and described the data based on the five characteristics of linguistic features of suicide notes, they are clear reasoning, expressing emotion, structure text, grammar, punctuation. The results showed that all of the characteristics of linguistic features were found in the well-known individuals' suicide notes. The characteristics of clear reasoning took place as the most frequent one to occur since it tells the readers of the victims' point of view about the problems that they were facing that led them to suicide. While the absence of doubt and form of address took place as rare. In the end, the result of this research can provide more information in research regarding the study of suicide notes in forensic linguistics, an application of linguistic on analyzing data or legal issues.
Abstrak: Pembelajaran abad 21 mendorong siswa untuk berkolaborasi dengan orang lain dengan menyelesaikan masalah, pembelajaran abad ini memiliki ciri-ciri bahwa informasi atau pengetahuan bisa didapatkan dari manapun dan kapanpun. Salah satu implementasi PjBL yaitu PjBL berbasis entrepeunership, yang diterapkan pada pembelajaran materi koperasi yang bisa meningkatkan hasil belajar dan membentuk karakteristik siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan Model PjBL Berbasis Entrepreunership Pada Pembelajaran Tematik Materi Koperasi yang bisa meningkatkan hasil belajar dan membentuk karakteristik pada siswa kelas 5 SDN 02 Kebonrowopucang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran pada kelas 5 materi koperasi menggunakan model PjBL berbasis entrepeneurship dapat Membangun dan Meningkatkan sifat jujur, bertanggung jawab, disiplin, mandiri, kreatif dan inovatif pada siswa, serta menumbuhkan jiwa kewirausahaan siswa. faktor pendukung dalam pelaksanaan koperasi kelas yaitu antusias siswa yang tinggi, bimbingan guru yang baik, dan waktu pelaksanaan koperasi yang fleksibel. Adapun faktor penghambat dalam pelaksanaan koperasi yaitu kedisiplinan siswa dalam mencatat data pemasukab dan pengeluaran barang dan uang yang rendah.Abstract: 21st century learning encourages students to collaborate with others by solving problems, this century learning has the characteristics that information or knowledge can be obtained from anywhere and anytime. One of the PjBL implementations is entrepreneurship-based PjBL, which is applied to cooperative learning materials that can improve learning outcomes and shape student characteristics. This study aims to determine the application of Entrepreneurship-Based PjBL Models in Thematic Learning of Cooperative Materials which can improve learning outcomes and shape the characteristics of grade 5 students at SDN 02 Kebonrowopucang. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that learning in grade 5 cooperative material using the PjBL model based on entrepreneurship can build and enhance students' honest, responsible, disciplined, independent, creative and innovative traits, as well as foster students' entrepreneurial spirit. Supporting factors in the implementation of cooperative classes are high student enthusiasm, good teacher guidance, and flexible cooperative implementation time. The inhibiting factors in the implementation of cooperatives are student discipline in recording low data entry and expenditure of goods and money.
