Introduction: Bee stings entail allergic reactions that can be severe, sometimes even lethal. These reactions can occur immediately or several days after being stung. The aim of this study was to present the complications associated with bee sting. Material and methods: Demographic patient information and data regarding type of bee, injury site, presence of retained bee stingers, coronary angiographic examination that had been programmed because of episodes of retrosternal pain at rest and signs of myocardial ischaemia on ECG reports were collected from medical records. Results:152 patient's data were collected out of which 108 patients were male and 44 were female. Patients' age ranged widely from 30 to 80 years. 25% of the patients were aged 41-50. Local reactions were seen in 79% of the individuals.14.4% had no reactions. Conclusion: Various manifestations after bee sting have been described. Local reactions, such as pain, vomiting, myalgia, edema and swelling, are common and generally self-limiting. The chest pain abated over a few hours, and serial ECGs showed the changes of a developing myocardial infarction.
Herbal medicinal plants are used to treat various disorders in many traditional medicinal systems around the world. Usage of this herb found in Indian and Chinese medicinal systems. The availability of ginger herb is Universal these days, where it is cultivated for its underground stem (Pseudo-stem). Most commonly used part is rhizome. This ginger rhizome has many therapeutic uses including anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetics, antioxidant, anti-microbial and also curing in vomiting, constipation, indigestion, cold, fever, cough, nausea, reparatory conditions, bronchitis etc., these activities were checked using different solvents of different polarity. Arthritis is known for its extreme joint pain and swelling may be treated by using ginger essential oil extract. It was studied that it has the capacity to reducing the pro-inflammatory molecules by lowering the RA-F, CRP, ESR level in the blood. The essences of ginger are due to the chemicals present in them. The products obtained from the ginger like essential oil and oleoresin are used all around the world for its food and pharmaceutical properties. The bioactive compounds like [6]- gingerol and its dehydrated form [6]- shogaol can inhibits the production of free radicals and oxidative stress, along with this properties it can reduce the pro-inflammatory molecules like prostaglandins by inhibiting COX-1 and COX-2.It also observed by the recent studies that the ginger and its extract have the capacity of suppressing the leukotriene biosynthesis by inhibiting 5-lipoxygenase. To this effect in-vitro study conducted in the lab shows the maximum inhibition as well as maximum protection by the ginger essential oil extract. The essential oil extraction were administered external apply and the variation in the certain proteins and inflammation related antibodies were studied.

The study focuses on the influence and contribution of multi-walled Carbon-Nano tube (MWCNT) and boron carbide (B4C) to the tribological properties of copper matrix composites. The Samples are prepared using ultrasonic assisted stir casting for different weight fractions. The tribological properties like wear and corrosion studies been carried out according to ASTM standards. Wear rate increased with the increase in speed and load for every combination of the composite. However, with CNT being the main reinforcement with addition of CNT wear rate has reduced marginally. Addition of Boron Carbide also to some extent decreased the wear rate but CNT plays a major role in reducing the wear rate. Corrosion studies of the composite materials is carried out by Weight loss corrosion techniques, it is clearly evident from the critical analysis of the results that with the addition of reinforcements to the composite material, the corrosion rate in weight loss corrosion technique decreases drastically with the duration of time, this is due to the formation of a passive oxide layer on the composite specimen.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
