Background:Shoulder pain is the third most common musculoskeletal reason for seeking medical care. The diagnosis of Rotator Cuff Tendinopathy (RCT), with supraspinatus partial thickness tendon tears and tendonosis, constitutes more than 50% of adult cases presenting with shoulder pains at any time. Platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections are nowadays being used as an alternative for treating the tendinopathies, who have failed to be managed by conservative management. Objectives:This work aimed to asses the effect of PRP injection under musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSUS) guidance in patients with rotator cuff tendinopathy, and partial thickness tear in comparison with those who received a rehabilitation program only. Baseline assessment and after three months was done using clinical, functional and ultrasonographic evaluation. Methods:Our study included 60 patients with RCT diagnosed both clinically and by MSUS. Patients were divided into two groups (gI, gII); group I included 30 patients who received a Supervised Rehabilitation Program and group II included 30 patients who received PRP injection. Patients in both groups were assessed clinically, functionally [(VAS), (WORC) and (SPADI)] and sonographically at baseline and after 3 months. Rehabilitation Program included: hot packs, (TENS), and (therapeutic ultrasound). The Exercise Programs (supervised and home-based) were applied, including: (ROM, stretching and strengthening exercises of the rotator cuff and scapular muscles). PRP injection was prepared under complete sterile conditions by whole blood centrifugation with specific protocol; blood was centrifuged firstly at 1000 rpm for 10 minutes. The plasma was then transferred to a new glass tube and centrifuged at 3000 rpm for 15 minutes. Platelets will form a pellet at the bottom of the tube. Finally, a pure platelet rich plasma was obtained with a concentration 4 times greater than baseline. Ca gluconate was mixed with PRP (in a ratio of 0.3 ml ca gluconate/ml PRP) immediately before the injection. Under ultrasound guidance, 3ml PRP was injected slowly into the bursa without usage of local anesthetics prior to injection. Post injection, patients were advised to rest, use cold packs and were allowed to do light range of motion exercises 2–5 days post injection. Acetaminophen was allowed for intolerable post injection pain. Results:Statistical analysis was made to 60 patients. Intragroup analysis showed statistical significant difference in both groups at follow up compared to baseline regarding clinical, functional and radiological data. Intergroup analysis showed more significant results in PRP group regarding clinical assessment (p <0.0001), functional assessment (SPADI (PS, DS and total) and WORC scores (p <0.0001) and sonographic assessment in (subscapularis tendinopathy, supraspinatus tendinopathy, supraspinatus fibrillar tendon disruption and supraspinatus tendon thickness) (p <0.0001) and sonographic subacromial subdeltoid bursitis (p= 0.001).Conclusion:Single PRP injection is an effective mean of treatment o...
Background: One of the greatest underlying factors in the success or failure of any organization is the power of its people; this power can be from the more delegation of authority for employee which increases their job involvement. Thus, it is significantly for any health organization to implement strategies that increase job involvement and delegation of authority. The aim: of this study was to investigate the relation between delegation and job involvement among staff nurses in selected hospitals at Minia governorate. Design: A descriptive correlational research design was used to achieve the aim of the present study. Sample: was included all staff nurses working in all departments of two hospitals during the period of data collection (N=245), Setting: The study was conducted at Elfkrea Hospital in Abo Korkas district and Samalot hospital in Samalot district in El-Minia governorate. Data collection Tools: Data was collected through the utilization of two tools; Delegation Questionnaire and The job involvement Scale. Results: the majority of staff nurses explore the responses toward low level regarding delegation and job involvement (85.2% and 73.9%) in El-Fekria and (95.4 and 80%) in Samalot hospital. Conclusion: It concluded that the majority of staff nurses have had low level regarding delegation and job involvement in El-Fekria and Samalot hospital. There were a positive correlation between delegation of authority and its dimensions "efficiency, effectiveness, empowerment and delegation process of head nurse and job involvement. Recommendations: Periodical training programs should be conducted to all head nurses and staff nurses to increase their knowledge and competencies regarding the delegation and job involvement.

Background: In the modern era, the ideas of enterprise, entrepreneur, and entrepreneurship have also gained prominence in our nation as well as throughout the entire world in order to promote personal and social welfare and improve quality of life (Jena, 2020). The aim of the study was to examine the nurse interns' entrepreneurial awareness, intention and their relation to self-care practice. Design: A descriptive comparative research design was utilized. Subject: Convenience sample consisted of (total No. 580) of internship student classified as the following 380 nursing intern students from faculty of nursing at Minia university and 200 nursing intern students from faculty of nursing at Cairo university. Setting: clinical setting for intern student at Minia university hospitals and Cairo university hospitals, in Cairo, Egypt Tools of data collection: 1 st tool divided into two parts, first part Personal data, second part Entrepreneurship awareness questionnaire, 2 nd tool; Nursing interns`entrepreneurial intention questionnaire, and 3 rd Mindful Self-Care Scale -Short (MSCS). Results: the majority of Minia nursing intern students have shown moderate level of entrepreneurial awareness, intention and self-care practice while Cairo nursing intern students have high level of entrepreneurial awareness, intention and self-care practice. Conclusion: The present study concluded that, that there was a positive correlation between entrepreneurial awareness, intention. and self-care practice. Recommendations: In order to meet the expanding and new needs in the health sector, nursing intern students need to strengthen their working skills by having entrepreneurial qualities at various care levels.
