The aim of this study is to measure the reliance of the Pakistani English press on international news agencies. Quantitative content analysis was done to see the level of reliance. A ten-year period has been selected for analysis starting from 9/11. International pages of three English newspapers were selected. The results indicated that there is very small contribution of the newspapers in the case of international news content, they mostly rely on foreign content and publish the same. Pakistani newspapers hardly try to appoint their correspondents and resultantly they have to copy the same content available by international news agencies e.g., AP, AFP & Reuter. The study considered the theory of media imperialism and the results endorse the age-old central verses peripheral relationship with developed countries and the developing nations which still persist
This study investigates the impact of media coverage on public perception of one of Pakistan's most heinous murder cases. Zanib, the victim, was a kid who was raped and then murdered; the case was widely publicised and covered extensively during the offender's trial. Until he was executed by hanging. This study aims to examine the influence of extremely sensitive coverage on people. The goal was to assess the influence of such information on parents, raise awareness about media accountability, and identify positive and bad elements. Respondent data was gathered using a survey method. Simple random sampling was applied and the N was 50. A questionnaire with thirty items was created. The findings indicate that media raises public awareness and, most of the time, has a favourable impact on the public. It was also discovered that parents are sometimes worried when reading the related information.
The world has been advanced with the invention of technologies like cell phones, the radio, television and the internet.People have a lot of options to make them entertain, learn, talk and impart and share information. Today different kinds of programs can be watched, read and listened to on electronic, print and online media.Now the number of violations has been observed and criticized by the masses regarding the content of films. In the present study to investigate the portrayal of Pashtun in Urdu movies quantitative method of research is used for this content analysis way is applied to reach the results and coding sheets are drawn to calculate the number of violations in targeted variables. In this study it is concluded that Pakistani Urdu films contains lot of critics because Pashtun culture portrayed and framed doesn't match to the realities.
This study is designed to investigate the Impact of Heroism and Demonism of Indian Movies and Youth National Identity Crisis. Through the survey research method, the researcher collects data from the 320 persons that are selected from a population of the study through the Purposive sampling technique. Participants are categorized demographically. The major finding of the study is the Nation Identity Crisis among youth, and it strongly supports the hypothesis that "there is significant Co Relation between the extent of watching Indian movies and adoption of Indian cultural identities". The researcher concluded that the "National language of our country Pakistan more affected by the Hinduism and somewhat Dress, Eating culture, National symbols, Two Nation Theory National Heroes and Army image also affected.”
