The limited ability is the background to answering the challenges of resource development in Indonesia. Enggano Island which is the outermost island of Indonesia has a unique social and cultural life. This is characterized by the basic values and culture of the existing tribes. This study specifically aims to map and describe the basic values by indigenous people. In addition, this study aims to find effective media to revitalize the cultural value system of society. The method used in this study is a case study approach. The results of the study refer to the source of the PAHKUDE‘RE‘KE ‘value as the basic value. This source of value is an effective media in the dialogical process.
This research is to describe the behavior of family communication in maintaining mental health during pandemic of covid-19. The researched of communication behavior includes verbal and nonverbal communication, also the way family reduce the anxiety and fear of the virus. This research using qualitative metode. The data collected through in-depth interview and research from related study literature.The informants of this research are the medical personnel who work at a healthy facility and their own family. Through this research it is known that behavior of family communication in pandemic covid-19 includes both verbal and nonverbal communication. The verbal of communication behavior by delivering messages directly and using various media to remind their family to take care of their health to avoid the transmission of covid-19. Moreover, the family also uses nonverbal communication with body language, eye signal, distance, and voice. In family communication, it is very important to pay attention to the aspects of communication such as support, positive feeling, openness, mutual trust, and intensity of communication. The family do this to create harmonious communication as an effort to maintain their mental health during the pandemic of covid-19.
Community service activities has a title "Guidance the Dangers of Drug for Teenager through Affective Education Approach". The target of the community activities program are youth / high school students (SMA) 1 Talang Empat, Central Bengkulu Regency, Bengkulu Province. Activities carried out in SMA-N 1 Central Bengkulu aims to encourage young people, in this case school students to stay away from the dangers of drugs. Counseling methods with affective educational approach is deemed appropriate to be used for this approach is not only limited to providing information about the dangers of drugs alone but students are also stimulated to think about the values of life of their own and make a conclusion about whether the benefits of drug abuse in life. Affective aspects of education aimed at developing the personality, maturation itself, increase the ability in decisions making, knowing how to cope with the mental stress effectively. Students have a tendency to not want to get involved in drug abuse. In addition caused enough understanding that drugs only bring harm health and spend a lot of money, students also tend to choose friends who have the same background (students).
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis tindakan body shaming yang terjadi terhadap sesama perempuan dalam kajian Pikiran (Mind), Diri (Self), Masyarakat (Society) dalam ruang lingkup mahasiswi Ilmu Komunikasi. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi yang sudah dituliskan dalam catatan lapangan, dokumen pribadi, dokumen resmi, gambar foto dan sebagainya. Peneliti juga menggunakan teknik triangulasi data sebagai metode uji keabsahan data, dengan cara memeriksa data yang telah didapat dari berbagai sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perempuan yang mengalami body shaming membentuk pikiran (Mind) berdasarkan pengalaman lalu sebagian memandang diri (Self) dengan menerima apa adanya (I) namun terkadang konsep diri mereka juga terbentuk karena dipengaruhi oleh penilaian orang lain (Me). Dan masyarakat (Society) merupakan faktor besar dalam perempuan yang pernah mengalami body shaming ini dalam membentuk pola pikir serta menemukan jati diri.Kata Kunci : Interaksi Simbolik, Body Shaming, Perempuan
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan strategi komunikasi, hambatan dan dampak dari strategi komunikasi yang diterapkan guru SD SAB Mahira dalam mengimplementasikan pendidikan karakter kepada peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti mengumpulkan data melalui observasi partisipan pasif, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa SAB Mahira memiliki empat strategi dalam menanamkan pendidikan karakter kepada peserta didik, yaitu strategi quantum teaching, strategi komunikasi interaksi, strategi media pembelajaran dan strategi metode. Pada strategi komunikasi quantum teaching,suasana belajar dibuat menyenangkan. Siswa diajak mengalami secara langsung ilmu yang mereka pelajari. Pada strategi komunikasi interaksi, siswa dan guru memiliki kedudukan seimbang sebagai komunikan dan komunikator. SAB Mahira juga menggunakan alam sebagai media pembelajaran serta menggunakan metode hapalan, pembiasaan diri dan hukuman sebagai metode dalam menanamkan pendidikan karakter kepada siswa. Selain itu terdapat hambatan dalam menanamkan pendidikan karakter yang berasal dari internal, yaitu kefokusan siswa yang kurang, dan hambatan eksternal, yaitu pola asuh orang tua yang kurang singkron dengan guru di sekolah dikarenakan orang tua siswa sebagian besar merupakan orang tua yang sibuk. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, strategi komunikasi yang digunakan SAB Mahira berdampak positif terhadap perkembangan prilaku siswa.
