In this changing world, regarding global perspective and workforce changes, the involvement of employee is the most important feature for organization competitive. Employee engagement now is considered as a valuable indicator for organizational success, therefore, it needs to be studied in-depth by the organization, because through engaged employees the significant results can be achieved. Employee engagement has become a crucial issue in human resources management reviews, as it provides many benefits to the organization. However, much of what has written about employee engagement comes from practitioner literature and consulting firms. There is a scarcity of research on employee engagement in the academic literature, for academics, the concept remains new, and therefore, this concept still requires research that can support it. This study aimed to understand the factors that affect employee engagement of lecturers in Indonesia. Data collected and can be processed were 200 respondents. Based on the results it is known that job characteristic, reward, and recognition, perceived organizational and supervisor support affect employee engagement. Some managerial implications that can be applied based on the results of this study have been submitted in this research, one of it such as the organization should provide a challenging, safe and secure work environment for employees, in order to get proactive employees that will give a positive effect on overall organizational performance.
Abstract:The aims this study for examine the achievement level of student's career in terms of Ginsberg's career theory, after that which will be pursued what counseling service can be used to help students complete the task of career development. The research approach that used is quantitative descript. The population of this research is FKIP UNILA students. In the determination of the research sample, researchers used random sampling of 91 students. Data were collected by Likert Scale, and analyzed with mean hypotetic. The results of this research indicate that (1) the level of achievement of the career of FKIP UNILA students are in medium category, and the level of achievement of the career development task is decreased from the fantasy-tentatif-realistic phase, (2) the implication of the level career achievement task of development FKIP UNILA student is in the medium category, and the level achievement of career development task is decreasing from the fantasy-tentatif-realistic phase. Implications toward counseling services. There is a continuous, planned, and needs-based career guidance program, career information services are held, career visits and future studies are held, while counselors have implications for the need to increased competence and professionalism.
Learning English in class is often carried out in a conventional way such as explaining using a whiteboard, doing practice exercises with pen and paper, and memorizing material from a book / dictionary. Such conventional teaching and learning processes often make students bored and feel the material presented is difficult to understand. One way that can be used to overcome this problem is to create a tool that uses technology, such as games. GraPe Warrior game which has an adventure game concept with penguins as the main character where each level of the player must answer questions about grammar. GraPe Warrior game has become a new learning that further increases motivation in learning. This is evidenced by the results of a descriptive questionnaire test which shows that> 90% of respondents are interested because learning in the form of games is more interesting because it is equipped with several questions about grammar at each door when leveling up.
Disaster preparedness actually focuses on preparedness and prevention, so it's not just when a disaster has occurred. In this phase, knowledge and skills are needed related to understanding that focuses on knowledge to survive as a survivor and to know the abilities possessed by each individual to deal with the disaster that will occur. Purpose: This study aims to provide a descriptive description of the knowledge and skills of teachers at SMAN 1 Kalianda, South Lampung. Methodology: The research method in this study is a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The data collection technique used in this study was using an open questionnaire. This study uses descriptive statistical analysis with percentages, the presentation of the data analyzed using descriptive quantitative research methods. Results: Based on the results of the analysis conducted by researchers to 66 teachers as respondents in SMA Negeri 1 Kalianda, it can be said that teachers have a level of knowledge and skills of disaster preparedness in the medium and high categories.
