Safe childbirth is childbirth that helped by health personnel in health care facilities. Coverage of childbirth in health care facilities in Jambi province did not reach strategic plan target yet (77.00%), achievement (63.03%), Jambi city (93.86%) and the public health center did not reach target province yet (90%) that is the public health center Talang Bakung (79.00%) and Pal Merah II (78.00%). This study aimed to determine the correlation of knowledge and postpartum mothers attitude about childbirth in health care facilities with a selection of helping in childbirth at the public health center Talang Bakung. This is an analytic descriptive research; with total populations were 32 postpartum mothers, it used total sampling technique. Instrument test was conducted at the public health center Pal Merah II toward 10 postpartum mothers; an instrument used demographic data instrument, knowledge instrument, attitude instrument, and selection of helping in childbirth instrument, with fisher exact test and contingency coefficient. The findings indicated that there is no significant correlation between knowledge and attitudes of childbirth in healthcare facilities with a selection of helping in childbirth with each score p is (p=0.444 p=1.000), contingency coefficient (p=0.399, p=1.000). It is concluded that knowledge and attitude of the postpartum mother about childbirth in healthcare facilities did not affect in a selection of childbirth place chosen by the mother. For the next researcher to research about childbirth in healthcare facilities with the different method.
Depression in pregnancy is a mood disorder with symptoms of feeling sad, more sensitive so easily irritated even to crying, anxiety, lack of hope for the future, sleep disturbances in the form of nightmares or insomnia, decreased appetite, decreased libido, impaired social interaction, tired easily so that they experience interference in carrying out daily activities, impaired memory or difficulty concentrating, even some mothers experience hallucinations that risk the injury to themselves and others around them. Events in the world reached 23%, Asia 15-20%, Indonesia 25%, while in Riau Province around 20%. The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of mothers who experience depression during their pregnancy. It is a descriptive study, with consecutive sampling technique, conducted on 32 trimester II pregnant women (20-27 weeks) in Kecamatan Bangkinangand 22 pregnant women in Kecamatan Tapung I. The measurement of depression was done using Edinburgh postpartum depression scale (EPDS) which was declared valid and reliably used to measure depression in pregnancy. The results showed that the majority of pregnant women who experience depression are at the age of not at risk (20-35 years) as much as 60%, secondary education (80%), depression occurs in working mothers and not working each 50%, multigravida (70.00%), having 0-3 children, never experiencing abortion (90.00%), unwanted pregnancy (30.00%) and there are 10 (18.52%) trimester II pregnant women who experience depression during pregnancy. Depression experienced by pregnant women in Kecamatan Bangkinang and KecamatanTapung I is quite high, this is thought to be caused by maternal age, education, frequency of pregnancy, number of living children and unwanted pregnancy factors because some mothers do not want their pregnancy.
In a condition, pregnancy is defined as a crisis condition so that the women experience various psychological disorder, one of that is depression. Depression during pregnancy can continue in the postpartum period. Postpartum depression is characterized by feeling of sadness, crying, anxiety, fear, feeling lonely, suspicious, decreased appetite, sleep disorder, difficulty concentrating, feeling of worthlessness, loss of hope, lack of interest in the baby, and feeling of being unable to become mother, even in some cases of hallucinations so that there is an attempt by mothers to divorce babies, themselves or others These symptoms appear after the second week postpartum and can even continue for up to 2 years. The incidence of postpartum depression in the world reaches 20%, Asia is 15-20%, Indonesia is 15-20% and Riau Province is 20%. The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristic of mother who experience postpartum depression. This research is a descriptive study, with consecutive sampling technique, carried out on 24 postpartum women in Kecamatan Bangkinang Kota and 30 postpartum women in Kecamatan Kuok. Using demographic instrument and Edinburgh postpartum depression scale (EPDS). The result showed, some postpartum women were at the age of not risk (88.89%), primary-secondary (72.22%), not working (61.11%), parity is multipara (72.22%), number of children 0-4, never abortion (87.04%), wanted pregnancy (81.48%), gestational age is mature (79.63%), normal labor (87.04%) and 7 (12.96%) postpartum women experience postpartum depression. Depression experienced by postpartum women in Kecamatan Bangkinang Kota and Kecamatan Kuok is quite high, this is thought to be caused by factors of employment, educational degree, number of children and unwanted pregnancy.
Depresi postpartum adalah gangguan psikologis pada ibu pasca-melahirkan dengan kejadian di dunia mencapai 20%, Indonesia (Riau 18,52%, Medan 16-36%, Palembang 13,3%, dan Jambi 13%), angka ini harus ditekan menjadi 1% bahkan dihilangkan. Pelayanan Antenatal Terpadu yang selama ini diterapkan di Puskesmas Putri Ayu Kota Jambi adalah Komunikasi, Informasi dan Edukasi Efektif dan Kelas Ibu Hamil. KIE umumnya diberikan melalui konsultasi perorangan saat ibu melakukan kunjungan antenatal; belum semua ibu hamil yang mengikuti Kelas Ibu Hamil dan belum menghadirkan suami pada Kelas Ibu Hamil Kegiatan antenatal dikoordinir dan dilaksanakan oleh bidan, perawat hanya sebagai tenaga pendamping lintas program. Model Pencegahan Depresi Postpartum-Ratu merupakan produk disertasi penulis yang belum pernah diterapkan di Provinsi Jambi, merupakan model edukasi untuk ibu hamil dan suami dalam pencegahan depresi perinatal. Kegiatan pengabdian ini telah dilakukan pada Mei-Juli 2019 dengan metode survei, ceramah, diskusi, dan tanya jawab. Hasil yang dicapai adalah terbentuknya kader, terlaksananya pelatihan kader dan eduksi kepada ibu hamil dan suami. Peningkatan rerata pengetahuan ibu hamil sebesar 2,38; peningkatan rerata sikap 4,60, peningkatan rerata respons adaptasi ibu hamil (fisiologis 1,76; konsep diri 3,36; fungsi peran 2,49, dan interdependent 2,24) dan peningkatan rerata dukungan suami 3,84 setelah diberikan edukasi model. The Ratu’s Modelis a product of dissertation from first author's that has never been applied in Jambi Province, it is an educational model for pregnant women and husbands in the prevention perinatal depression. This dedication activity was carried out in May-July 2019 using survey, lecture, discussion, and question and answer methods. The results achieved were the formation of cadres, the implementation of cadre training and education for pregnant women and husbands. Increased mean knowledge of pregnant women 2.38; attitude 4.60, adaptation response of pregnant women (physiological 1.76; self-concept 3.36; role function 2.49, and interdependent 2.24) andsupport of husband 3.84 after the model education was given.
