<span lang="EN-US">Applied augmented reality works by detecting imageries or pictures, normally called markers, by using smartphone camera that detects these preplaced markers. Augmented reality has seen wide application in various fields, one of them is education. In the field of education, augmented reality is utilized to make learning process more engaging and attractive. Starting from the problem that learning computer networks on introduce to network device which is currently still delivered conventionally. So, this research makes a solution to this problem by developing learning media using augmented reality (AR) technology, which is a technology that combines two-dimensional or three-dimensional virtual objects into a real environment and then projects these virtual objects in real time. The purpose of this research is to build AR-based applications in learning computer network devices in order to increase understanding, generate motivation and student interest. The methodology used in this research consist of Envisioning Phase(Problem Identification, Planning Phase(Planning), Developing Phase(Design), Stabilizing Phase(Testing), Deploying Phase(Implementation). This study uses 31 students as sample and the data was analyzed using the SUS(System Usability Scale). The result show </span><span lang="EN-US">evaluates the usability using SUS of 31 respondents and it can be concluded that this AR application can be accepted by these students in its use with </span><span lang="EN-US">SUS Score obtained was 78.5</span>
The virtual laboratory is one of the popular trends for implementing remote learning in vocational education during the COVID-19 to Post-COVID-19 pandemic, either as a substitute or as a complement to learning in a Real Laboratory. This study discusses the effectiveness analysis of the virtual laboratory as a practicum learning media to support remote or online learning implementation. The purpose of this study was to analyses the virtual laboratory's effectiveness as a learning media in the learning process of the Power Electronics Practicum in Post-COVID-19. The type of research applied is a Pre-experimental Design with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. The Performance Appraisal Rubric is used as an instrument to collect research data. The virtual laboratory's effectiveness is known from the difference analysis of pretest and post-test scores using the Paired Sample T-test. Meanwhile, Cohen's d effect size analysis was used to determine the effect size. The results showed that the virtual laboratory was effectively used as a practicum learning media with a large effect category. Thus, it can be concluded that the virtual laboratory can be an effective choice for implementing practical learning in supporting the implementation of remote learning.
The purpose of this research is to increase students' understanding of CAD program courses through the application of the case method learning model. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted to find solutions that can be done so that the potential of each teaching participant can be explored optimally. The subjects of this study were the fourth semester students of the Building Engineering Education Study Program, University of Nias, who at the time of this research were contracting 22 CAD courses. The method of measuring the level of success is carried out in three cycles. The method of data collection was carried out by observation, performance tests, quantitative and qualitative data collection, and data analysis techniques of learning implementation. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it was found that the most dominant activity of lecturers in providing lecture material using autocad media could increase student understanding by 0.47 points from cycle 1 to cycle 2 while the increase from cycle 2 to cycle 3 was 0.04 points. Activities in providing explanations to student questions using autocad media can increase student understanding by 0.25 points from cycle 1 to cycle 2 and increase student understanding by 0.27 points. The mastery of students' cognitive learning outcomes increased from cycles 1 to 3, with the percentage of mastery in cycle 1 being 31.82% and cycle 2 being 54.54%, and in cycle 3 being 90.9%. So it is concluded that the application of the case method learning model assisted by autocad media can improve students' understanding of the CAD program material.
<p class="StyleAuthorBold"><strong>Abstrak</strong></p><p class="StyleAuthorBold">Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi penerapan pendidikan karakter akhlak mulia sebagai upaya pembentukan karakter siswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa jurusan Teknik Mesin SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Raya Kabupaten Agam Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Pemilihan subjek penelitian didasari kolaborasi penerapan program penanaman nilai rohani yang dilakukan ketua jurusan. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan dengan observasi dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa program pelaksanaan salat Zuhur berjemaah disambut positif oleh siswa; siswa telah patuh terhadap peraturan yang ada di sekolah; siswa lebih mementingkan perintah orang tua walaupun sedang asyik bermain dengan temannya; siswa memiliki respek terhadap lingkungan masyarakat; dan siswa memiliki jiwa cinta alam dan berbudaya menjaga lingkungan.</p><p class="StyleAuthorBold"> </p><p class="StyleAuthorBold"><strong><em>Abstract</em></strong></p><p class="StyleAuthorBold"><em>The research aimed to obtain information on the application of moral character education as an effort to build student character. This research used a qualitative descriptive method. The research subjects were students majoring in Mechanical Engineering at </em>SMK Negeri 1<em> Tanjung Raya Agam Regency, West Sumatra Province. The selection of research subjects was based on collaborative implementation of the spiritual value cultivation program carried out by the head of the department. The data collection technique was carried out by observation and interviews. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis. The results of the research revealed that the </em>Zuhur<em> prayer program in congregation was positively welcomed by the students; students have obeyed the rules in school; students are more concerned with parental orders even though they are enjoying playing with their friends; students have respect for the community environment; and students have a spirit of love for nature and a culture of protecting the environment.</em></p>
AbstrakKendala atau permasalahan yang ada pada petani saat ini adalah masalah pasca panen. Permasalahan terletak pada mesin perontok gabah. Mesin perontok gabah yang dimiliki bertipe Dragon dan mesin ini masih kurang efektif karena banyak gabah yang terbuang. Tenaga yang dibutuhkan juga cukup banyak dalam mengumpulkan gabah yang telah di rontokkan. Sehingga komplikasi permasalahan ini selain jumlah mesin belum mencukupi kebutuhan, mesin yang ada pun kurang efektif dan efisien dalam membantu proses panen para petani. Sehingga berdampak pada turunnya kualitas dan kuantitas padi yang akan di dapatkan petani. Dari fenomena ini TIM pengabdian menawarkan solusi membuat mesin theresher multiguna. Haparan mesin thereser ini mampu bekerja lebih efektif dari mesin yang sebelumnya. Metode penerapan ipteks yang dilakukan pada kegiatan ini adalah dengan memberikan teori pengantar, demonstrasi, dan praktek. Teori pengantar bersifat aplikatif yakni pengenalan alat, bagaimana cara penggunaannya, fungsinya serta aplikasi pemakaian di lapangan. Hasi dari pengabdian ini berupa mesin thereser multiguna menggunakan motor penggerak 9 HP untuk mencapai kinerja maksimal dan mesin thereser multiguna dilengkapi dengan lorong penghembus guna memisahkan padi berisi dan padi kosong.Kata kunci: aplikasi tepat guna, mesin thereser multiguna, pengabdian masyarakat, petani daerah perbatasan, dan kabupaten dharmasraya.
