This research was motivated by the assumption that kaba in the oral literary performance of Dendang Pauah can be used to reconstruct the cultural values or view of the Minangkabau life. Knowledge of the cultural values of a collective is very important, because with that knowledge we will be able to judge whether his or her views are compatible or not with the soul of development. Kaba reveals to us implicitly, how his people think. It is also through kaba, which is an oral literature, a collective perpetuating or expressing what is felt to be important to its people at some time. The purpose of this study was to describe the cultural values contained in kaba at the oral literary performance of Dendang Pauah. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data techniques collection used in this study include interviews, recording, direct observation, and field notes.
The school newspaper is a mass communication medium published and managed by the school. The main manager is OSIS who are accompanied by Indonesian Language teachers and Information and Communication Technology teachers under the supervision of the school principal. The existence of a school newspaper is very important as a place to accommodate student work. This activity produces an online school newspaper that can be accessed anywhere and from anywhere. The purpose of this training is to provide facilities and infrastructure that can be used by schools to support student literacy activities.
This community service program aims to improve the digital literacy skills of teachers in Kota Tangerang Selatan through read aloud training. This program was carried out using training method based on needs analysis of primary teachers in Kota Tangerang Selatan. The read aloud training through digital library consisting of four stages, namely: preparation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The training was conducted online through the Zoom platform. Participants of this program consist of 58 teachers from 12 primary schools in Kota Tangerang Selatan. The instrument of evaluation used in this program was Kirkpatrick’s training evaluation model (level 1). Questionnaires of evaluation were distributed through google form. The evaluation data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of this training were the improvement of teachers’ knowledge regarding read aloud, the development of teachers’ skills to use read aloud technic properly for teaching, and the improvement of teachers’ ability to access digital library and to use it in teaching learning process.
This community service program aims to improve the skills of teachers in transferring scientific writing media into digital books by utilizing the issues digital publishing platform. Implementing this service used training and technical assistance for teachers at Madrasah Ibtidayah (MI) Manggarupi, Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Manggarupi, and SMA PGRI Sungguminasa starting from creating an ISSUU account to publishing works. The instrument for evaluating this activity used the Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP) model. The training questionnaire was given via Google Form and analyzed descriptively. The result of this service activity was an increase in the ability of teachers to publish their scientific writings through digital publishing platforms. Teachers experienced the benefits of using a digital edition publishing platform to support school learning activities. The platform could also be a forum for students in these schools to publish their writings and works.
