Lampu Satu settlement is one of 12 slum areas in Merauke Regency. Based on the verification results, Lampu Satu slum settlement is the largest, which is 43.67 hectares or 39.44% of the total area of Merauke Regency slum areas. The purpose of this study is to determine the classification and concept of treatment slum settlements in the Merauke One Light settlement. The analytical method used is descriptive quantitative analysis of the characteristics of the Merauke Lampu Satu slums and measurement of the survey results based on the Minister of Public Works and Housing No. 2 of 2016 to determine the classification of slums and to analyze the concept of handling. The final results obtained in this study are the classification of Lampu Satu slums at a moderate level of slums. The concept of treatment that can be done is prevention with the socialization of licensing procedures, healthy living behaviors, waste management, fire disasters, as well as socialization of regional spatial plans. While the improvement of the quality of settlements is carried out on infrastructure and facilities that are still not by applicable standards and criteria as well as by conducting a resettlement program in settlements located in coastal zones.Keyword: classification; slums; concept of treatmentAbstrak: Permukiman Lampu Satu merupakan salah satu dari 12 lokasi kawasan permukiman kumuh pada Kabupaten Merauke. Berdasarkan hasil verifikasi, permukiman kumuh Lampu Satu merupakan yang terluas yaitu 43,67 hektare atau 39,44% dari total luas kawasan permukiman kumuh Kabupaten Merauke. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menentukan klasifikasi kekumuhan dan merumuskan konsep penanganan permukiman kumuh pada permukiman Lampu Satu Merauke. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis kuantitatif deskriptif terhadap karakteristik permukiman kumuh Lampu Satu Merauke serta pengukuran terhadap hasil survei berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat Nomor 2 Tahun 2016 untuk menentukan klasifikasi permukiman kumuh dan untuk menganalisis konsep penanganan. Hasil akhir yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini yaitu klasifikasi permukiman kumuh Lampu Satu pada tingkat kekumuhan sedang. Konsep penanganan yang dapat dilakukan adalah pencegahan dengan sosialisasi terhadap prosedur perizinan, perilaku hidup sehat, pengelolaan sampah, bencana kebakaran, serta sosialisasi tentang rencana tata ruang kawasan. Sedangkan peningkatan kualitas permukiman dilakukan pada prasarana dan sarana yang masih belum sesuai standar dan kriteria yang berlaku serta dengan melakukan program permukiman kembali (resettlement) pada permukiman yang berada pada kawasan sempadan pantai.Kata Kunci: klasifikasi; permukiman kumuh; konsep penanganan
Diponegoro Street is one of the main roads in Salatiga City which has a pedestrian lane with its own characteristics and can be a different identity from other roads. This characteristic can be seen in the presence of vegetation in the form of a row of large trees on the pedestrian path so that it can visually give character to the corridor of Jalan Diponegoro. In addition, the pedestrian revitalization carried out by the Salatiga City Government on Jalan Diponegoro looks quite interesting because visually it can provide perceptions that can influence the visual character of Jalan Diponegoro.. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of pedestrian ways elements on the visual character of the corridor. The method used is an exploratory descriptive approach where the researcher acts as the main instrument in exploring and analyzing field data. The results showed that the pedestrian ways had a strong effect on the visual character formation of the corridor of Jalan Diponegoro Salatiga as a Dutch Colonial heritage area. The elements of pedestrian paths that have a strong influence are the elements of sidewalks, lighting, trash cans, seating, and vegetation. The existence of strong dominance in these elements is strengthened by the continuity of the Jalan Diponegoro Salatiga corridor so that it has a strong influence on the visual character of the corridor.Abstrak: Jalan Diponegoro merupakan salah satu jalan utama di Kota Salatiga yang memiliki jalur pedestrian dengan ciri khas tersendiri dan dapat menjadi identitas yang membedakannya dengan jalan lainnya. Ciri khas tersebut dapat dilihat dengan keberadaan vegetasi berupa deretan pohon besar di jalur pedestrian sehingga secara visual dapat memberikan karakter pada koridor Jalan Diponegoro. Selain itu, adanya revitalisasi jalur pejalan kaki yang dilakukan oleh Pemerintah Kota Salatiga di Jalan Diponegoro terlihat cukup menarik karena secara visual dapat memberikan persepsi yang dapat mempengaruhi karakter visual Jalan Diponegoro. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh elemen-elemen alur pejalan kaki terhadap karakter visual koridor. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif eksploratif dimana peneliti berperan sebagai instrumen utama dalam menggali dan menganalisis data lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jalur pejalan kaki berpengaruh kuat terhadap pembentukan karakter visual koridor Jalan Diponegoro Salatiga sebagai kawasan peninggalan Kolonial Belanda. Elemen jalur pejalan kaki yang memiliki pengaruh kuat adalah elemen trotoar, lampu penerangan, tempat sampah, tempat duduk, dan vegetasi. Adanya dominasi yang kuat pada elemen-elemen tersebut diperkuat dengan adanya kontinuitas pada koridor Jalan Diponegoro Salatiga sehingga memberikan pengaruh yang kuat terhadap karakter visual koridor.
The purpose of this research is to analyze the possibility of implementing Smart Urban Railway Space concept in the development of Semarang Tawang Station area which is one of the entrance gates of Semarang tourists and has a high historical value. The area of Tawang station becomes an integral part of Semarang Old Town because of its adjacent location. This attachment is one potential that can be considered to grow the activity of the area into a tourism area and a business center. Increasing number of visitors can cause overcrowding. The crowded situation of visitors caused the lack of circulation so that the need for redesigning Tawang station area. A station area (public transportation) must be able to adapt to the environment and function needs for the visitor. Smart city design is about rethinking infrastructure, buildings and facilities as well as other infrastructure integrated to form smart cities and smart urban space. Smart Urban railway space is a concept that integrates an architectural building with the surrounding open space. It is hoped that this concept can parse overcrowding and make the area of Tawang station a tourism area. Methods used are qualitative methods with a rationalistic approach. The result of this research is a recommendation of the Smart Urban Railway Space concept at Tawang station area which is expected to parse the overcrowding problem that occurred.
Diponegoro Street is one of the main roads in Salatiga City, where there are still many buildings from the Dutch Colonial and vegetation in the form of large trees which visually gives its own characteristics and can describe Salatiga City as a resting place in the past. Over time, the Diponegoro road underwent a physical change in line with urban needs. It is feared that there will be a shift in the visual character so that this study aims to determine the visual character of the corridor which can be done through serial vision analysis. The method used is a descriptive exploratory approach where the researcher acts as the main instrument in digging and analyzing field data. The results show that the character of the Diponegoro Street corridor as a heritage area of the Dutch Colonial is getting stronger towards the east which is marked by the dominance of the Dutch Colonial buildings, vegetation in the form of large trees, and elements on street furniture with classical designs.
