Cagar Budaya Rumah Batu Olak kemang didirkan Pangeran Wirokusumo sebagai tempat untuk menetap dan menyebarkan agama islam di Jambi Kota Sebrang tepatnya Desa Olak Kemang. Bangunan ini mulai dibuat pada masa kolonial uniknya pada masa itu bahan bangunan rumah batu ini menjadi yang pertama diantara rumah lainnya karena yang lain masih menggunakan kayu dan papan. Selain itu arsitektur bangunan menggunakan unsur Melayu, Tionghoa dan Eropa. Penelitian ini digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi bagaimana Pemanfaatan Cagar Budaya Rumah Batu Olak Kemang Jambi Kota Sebrang sebagai sumber belajar bagi mahasiswa pendidikan sejarah Universitas Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Pemanfaatan Cagar Budaya Rumah Batu Olak Kemang memberikan dampak yang positif bagi pembelajaran sejarah yaitu pembelajaran dilakukan diluar kelas lebih cepat mengingat, adanya wujud nyata benda peninggalan sejarah memberikan rasa ingin tau yang tinggi dan peserta didik mempunyai kebebasan mengeksplorasi Cagar Budaya Rumah Batu Olak Kemang. Selain itu melalui kunjugan Cagar Budaya Rumah Batu Olak Kemang Jambi Kota sebrang diharapkan peserta didik dapat dengan bijak melestarikan, menjaga dan memanfaatkan warisan budaya lokal Jambi
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa kelas B prodi Pendidikan Sejarah pada mata kuliah sejarah Asia Tenggara. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam 3 siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan, Implementasi Tindakan, Observasi dan Analisis dan Refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara studi dokumentas dan studi literature. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Penggunakan Model Project Based Learning Digital Storyteling pada mata kuliah Sejarah Asia Tenggara di prodi pendidikan sejarah dapat diterapkan dengan baik dilihat dari skor rata pada siklus satu mendapat 43,33%, pada siklus II mendapat skor sebanyak 70%, artinya mengalami peningkatan sebanyak 26,67%. Pada siklus III skor rata perolehan setiap kelompok adalah 90,55% itu artinya mengalami peningkatan sebanyak 20,55%. Sedangkan untuk kepercayaan diri mengalami peningkatan siklus satu mendapat 40%, pada siklus II mendapat 63 % dan siklus III mendapat 86%.
In essence, culture has values that are capable of being inherited and carried out along with the development of society. In carrying out our daily lives we cannot be separated from cultural elements, every thing we do and we do in life is greatly influenced by local culture. Culture is also used as a guide for making decisions in the fields of social, legal, economic and inherited through communication from one generation to the next, so that generations inherited have the toughness in living their lives. As stated by Geertz in (Rusdi Yunus, 2014: 1) that culture is a pattern of meaning manifested in symbols and passed down from generation to generation. In other words, culture is the work of humans who are able to produce and develop human knowledge and attitudes towards life that are inherited through communication and learning.
This research was conducted to examine how Abdul Wahid's resistance against the Dutch Colonials that can be used as a teaching material in historical learning. The research method used in the writing of this article is in the form of descriptive Qualitative methods. The results of this study showed that Abdul Wahid's struggle against the Dutch Colonial in Jambi that occurred in 1916 was one of the reactions of the Jambi people to the colonization carried out by the Dutch that brought misery to the people of Jambi. Abdul Wahid's struggle against the Dutch Colonial in Jambi can be used as a source of local history jambi and as a teaching material on historical learning for learners because this material is closely related to the environment they live in so as to make this historical learning more meaningful, can shape the personality of learners to love the homeland more, have a spirit of patriotism and increase nationalism and defend the country for The next generation of the nation.
Jambi is one of the areas that can not be separated from the cultivation of Dutch colonialism in 1906-1942 (36 years), this brought changes in Jambi in the field of political system, brings in Jambi in the field of political, socio-cultural and economic systems. This research was conducted to identify how the economic development of western influences, especially Dutch Colonialism in Jambi, can be used as a source of learning, especially teaching materials based on local history in Jambi, especially during the period of colonialism and Dutch imperialism. This research method uses qualitative descriptive research. The results showed that the economic development of Jambi during Colonialism can be used as a teaching material for local history in the subjects of Indonesian History and The History of Interest. This locally based teaching material is very useful for learners because the material is close to the environment of life, thus making the goal of historical learning achieved and become more meaningful. In addition, it can also build a character of love for history and the nature of responsibility for preservation, concern for heritage and historical relics and the growth of nationalism.
