Multi-scale models integrating biomolecular data from genetic, transcriptional, and translational levels, coupled with extracellular microenvironments can assist in decoding the complex mechanisms underlying system-level diseases such as cancer. To investigate the emergent properties and clinical translation of such cancer models, we present Theatre for in silico Systems Oncology (TISON, https://tison.lums.edu.pk), a next-generation web-based multi-scale modeling and simulation platform for in silico systems oncology. TISON provides a “zero-code” environment for multi-scale model development by seamlessly coupling scale-specific information from biomolecular networks, microenvironments, cell decision circuits, in silico cell lines, and organoid geometries. To compute the temporal evolution of multi-scale models, a simulation engine and data analysis features are also provided. Furthermore, TISON integrates patient-specific gene expression data to evaluate patient-centric models towards personalized therapeutics. Several literature-based case studies have been developed to exemplify and validate TISON’s modeling and analysis capabilities. TISON provides a cutting-edge multi-scale modeling pipeline for scale-specific as well as integrative systems oncology that can assist in drug target discovery, repositioning, and development of personalized therapeutics.
In the realm of interconnected digital world, social ranking systems are readily used in different sections of society, for several reasons. The private and public sectors both are making use of social ranking systems as a tool to engineer human behavior, and crafting a digitally stimulated social control. Online reviews and ratings are one of the significant marketing strategies of online sellers to steer out consumers' opinion and ultimately their purchasing decisions. Buyers usually go through these reviews and ratings while purchasing online product or hiring online services. Online consumer reviews, recommendations for product and services, and peer viewpoints play a significant role in the customer's opinion formation. Different online forums of product reviews, ratings and recommendations differ in their objectives, functions, and characteristics. This paper focuses upon a systematic literature review and comparative study of the influence the positive and negative reviews and ratings of the products, automobile services, movies, restaurants, products and services on OLX & eBay, etc. have on opinion formation. Moreover, how these reviews influence others opinions of buying and using the products, services and apps will be analyzed.
The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between JC and the job performance of employees through an explanatory role of work engagement. An employee dedicated with his job is open to practice JC, ultimately develops the task and contextual performance of employee. This study is cross-sectional in nature and data was collected from IT sector specifically software houses employees using standard questionnaires. Total 350 questionnaires were distributed electronically and 300 valid questionnaire responses are used for data analysis purpose. Random sampling technique, is adopted to collect data from software houses employees. IBM SPSS version 20 software was used for preliminary data analysis and Smart PLS 3 was used to test the hypotheses of the study. Results revealed that relationship between JC and job performance is significant and work engagement partially mediates their relationship. A significant implication for practitioners here is that improvement in job performance of employees requires a bottom-up approach of JC in the organizations. Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) serves as a torch bearer in this study.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
