Electronic equipment made using old technology or electronic equipment in the entry-level category has not been supported by networking equipment, so for the data communication process, the microcontroller requires interfacing facilities that are in accordance with the electronic equipment used, such as a USB port. With the microcontroller that supports IoT, it allows electronic equipment to communicate over the network. An IoT microcontroller such as the ESP32 is equipped with a WiFi feature but is not equipped with a USB controller feature, while the USB Host max3421e supports the communication process using SPI, so that those two microcontrollers can be used to form an interface using the SPI bus. This interface can be applied to electronic equipment with old technology and entry level electronic equipment for wireless communication. For the needs of making an interface between the ESP32 and max3421e, a software was developed by analyzing the SPI features of the ESP32 and the USB protocol according to the USB device state diagram. The results obtained are the handshake process between systems developed with USB devices in the Low-Speed and Full-Speed categories such as printers, flashdisk, bluetooth mouse and external hard disk, and the device descriptor data of each device tested can be read properly.
The electricity supply used in State Polytechnic of Malang (Polinema) is still fully supported by PLN by utilizing the electricity source of the Electric Steam Power Plant (PLTU) with coal as a fuel. As the use of electricity in Polinema’s environment is very large, this has an impact on the expensive cost that must be incurred every month. The use of solar power as a new source of electricity that utilizes the nature of renewable energy can be used as an alternative electricity in Polinema. Supported by the use of solar panels with relatively affordable price and can be used as a long-term investment, it is expected that the use of electricity from PLN can be replaced by this solar power plant (PLTS). In this research, a prototype of electrical energy monitoring device produced by solar panel using several sensors connected in one network or commonly called Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) was designed and made. WSN was built using ESP32 microcontroller which is assembled with a voltage and current sensor which then the readings from the sensors will be sent wirelessly to the router to proceed to the server with internet facilities. Information from the sensors are being continously stored and monitored, so user can see the results of WSN reading from any location connected to the internet (real time).
In order for underwater wireless sensor networks to communicate more efficiently, MAC protocols are needed to control the use of acoustic channels. With the high propagation delay and the limited bandwidth available on the acoustic channel, a specially designed MAC protocol is needed for UWASN (Underwater Acoustic Sensor Networks). In this research, the adaptation of Cooperative MAC for underwater (CoopMAC-U) will be further studied to test the protocol performance. In the previous research, CoopMAC-U was simulated yet the fairness of the transmission was not simulated and tested. In this research, CoopMAC-U will be studied further and improved. The simulation result shows that the Improved CoopMAC-U protocol produces better-normalized throughput than the initial version of CoopMAC-U. The protocol is also proven that it is backward compatible between conventional mode and cooperative mode. For offered load greater than 0.2, both the initial version of CoopMAC-U and the Improved CoopMAC-U result in stagnant normalized throughputs but the improved ones double the value of the initial version.
Panti asuhan merupakan sebuah lembaga usaha kesejahteraan sosial yang mempunyai tanggung jawab untuk memberikan pelayanan kesejahteraan sosial kepada anak telantar dengan melaksanakan penyantunan dan pengentasan anak telantar, memberikan pelayanan pengganti fisik, mental, dan sosial pada anak asuh, sehingga memperoleh kesempatan yang luas, tepat dan memadai bagi perkembangan kepribadiannya sesuai dengan yang diharapkan sebagai bagian dari generasi penerus cita-cita bangsa dan sebagai insan yang akan turut serta aktif di dalam bidang pembangunan nasional. Tetapi pada kondisinya saat ini, banyak anak anak dari panti asuhan yang belum terjangkau oleh pengetahuan teknologi karena sedikitnya ilmu yang diterima pada bidang tersebut. Salah satunya adalah Panti Asuhan Al Husna di Kabupaten Malang. Dalam hasil pengabdian yang dilakukan pada lokasi yang di tetapkan, peserta pria lebih baik dalam menyerap materi yang diberikan daripada peserta wanita bailk dalam hal pelatihan pembuatan web yang dirancang pada pengabdian ini. Diharapkan setelah pelatihan ini para anak anak di Panti Asuhan Al Husna Kabupaten Malang mampu ikut bersaing secara global melalui media website
