Permasalahan yang dibahas adalah mengenai keberadaan kesenian tradisional Terebang Gede di Kota Serang yang ditinjau dari sisi historis mulai dari kemunculan kesenian ini, perkembangannya, dinamika dan pergeseran yang terjadi, peran seniman dalam melesetarikan dan mengembangkan kesenian ini, serta dampak yang ditimbulkan akibat modenisasi dan globalisasi. Manfaat yang dimaksud dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengangkat Kesenian Terebang Gede sebagai kesenian tradisional atau kesenian daerah khas Serang Banten yang kurang dikenal agar menjadi kesenian yang dikenal secara luas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode historis yang tahapannya terdiri dari Heuristik atau pengumpulan sumber, kritik, Aufassung/Interpretasi, dan Darstellung/Historiografi. Kesenian Terebang Gede yang berasal dari Kota Serang Banten ini merupakan kesenian tradisional dengan nilai budaya lokal yang diwariskan secara turun temurun. Kesenian Terebang Gede dalam perkembangannya mengalami pergeseran fungsi sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman. Pada awal kemunculannya, kesenian Terebang Gede berfungsi sebagai media penyebaran Islam. Setelah dikolaborasikan dengan seni marawis, terjadi perubahan dari bentuk pertunjukan, lagu, dan penambahan waditra. Seiring berjalannya waktu, dengan perubahan-perubahan yang terjadi di masyarakat, saat ini seni Terebang Gede kemudian berkembang sebagai seni pertunjukan yang berfungsi sebagai hiburan dengan lagu-lagu yang bernafaskan Islam. Walaupun demikian, di tengah-tengah arus globalisasi dan semakin maraknya seni budaya modern kesenian Terebang Gede masih dapat eksis dan bertahan sebagai salah satu warisan budaya leluhur yang mengandung nilai-nilai budaya lokal yang harus terus dipertahankan dan dilestarikan oleh masyarakat setempat sebagai bagian dari sebuah seni pertunjukan.
Problem based learning is a learning method that characterized by real problem that must be solved which triggers the learners to think critically to find a new knowledge. In accordance with this point, this study is aimed to identify the difference of critical thinking among the students through the application of quizizz in the experimental class with problem based learning model and students with interactive learning model. This study is also aimed to investigate the effect of problem based learning on the improvement of student critical thinking ability. The utilization of quizizz application to scrutinize the critical thinking ability of the students is toadapt the 4.0 education development where the students must be common with the use of technology for learning process. The method was quasi experiment with nonequivalent controlled group design. Based on the T Test to investigate the critical thinking of the students, it is known that tount score = 0.85 with α = 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the problem based learning model is more effective in increasing students’ critical thinking skills when compared to the interactive learning model. The N-gain test revealed that tcount score = 4.90 with α = 0.05, it can be concluded that there was an improvement on the student critical thinking in the application of Quizizz.
Less interest in history lessons becomes a serious problem for education in Indonesia. The lesson of history actually serves as a characteristic form of the younger generation. This issue certainly describes the conditions that are prone to the survival of the nation and state of Indonesia. The Government is quick to respond to this problem by positioning history subjects as a key element in the Curriculum 2013. In the Curriculum 2013, the lesson of history is divided into two parts: History of Indonesia and History (Development of the Social Sciences). This resulted in a change in the hours of history subjects that more than doubled from before. The 2013 curriculum in its learning uses a scientific approach (scientific appoach) which includes components: observing, asking, trying, processing, presenting, summarizing, and creating. This allows more freedom of various historical materials taught to learners. One of them is local history material. Local history is a history that occurs in spatial (space) certain locality in a community with temporal (time). This event can occur simultaneously with national history. The local history of the social movement in Banten is one of the lesser-cared material as an integral part of the periodic struggle for independence in National History. Learning history with local history material is more easily understood learners, because it can see firsthand the real life reality in the nearest environment. Between learners, contemporary life and historical events will form an identity bond that facilitates the inheritance of values. The inheritance of values in the events of Kyai's social movements and farmers in Banten would be easier in shaping positive values, such as patriotism and love of the homeland. Abstrak: Kurang diminatinya pelajaran sejarah menjadi satu masalah serius bagi pendidikan di Indonesia. Pelajaran sejarah sesungguhnya sangat berfungsi sebagai pembentuk karakter generasi muda. Masalah ini tentu menggambarkan kondisi yang rawan bagi keberlangsungan kehidupan bangsa dan negara Indonesia. Pemerintah dengan cepat merespons masalah ini dengan cara memposisikan mata pelajaran sejarah sebagai unsur utama yang diperhatikan dalam Kurikulum 2013. Pada Kurikulum 2013, pelajaran sejarah terbagi menjadi dua bagian: Sejarah Indonesia dan Sejarah (Peminatan Ilmu-ilmu sosial). Hal ini menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan jam mata pelajaran sejarah yang meningkat lebih dari dua kali lipat dari sebelumnya. History textbooks as official history are historiographical works which in their use are permitted for educational purposes. The problem in the study of historical textbooks is that there is a dichotomy in the material orientation of the doctrine of Nationalism and multiculturalism, where these two values should be an integral and inseparable part. The internalization of the values of multiculturalism and nationalism needs to be understood by teachers and students in order to know the national identity without ignoring the sides of pluralism and multiculturalism as a form of socio-historical diversity of students as Indonesian society. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with document study techniques (content analysis). This study aims to describe the process of planting multicultural values and the doctrine of nationalism in textbooks in building national identity (national character building) in learning history in the classroom.
This study aims to provide a historical description of the development of education in Weltevreden (Nieuw Batavia) in the early 20th century. After the move from Oud Batavia to Weltevreden, it also had an impact on the development of education as a community need at that time in the new urban planning system. The method used in this study is the historical method which includes the stages of heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Data collection techniques with literature studies of relevant sources. The historical and archaeological facts found show that there are remains that form the basis of the argument for the development of education in Weltevreden. Starting with the emergence of the Javanese medical school (STOVIA) as a pioneer in education in the health sector. Then continued with the establishment of the law school Rechtshoogeschool (RHS) until the formation of the indigenous elite who were partly members of the Volksraad.
