Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran bagaimana penyandang tuna daksa karena kecelakaan memilih, menggunakan, dan menghayati kekuatan non-fisik dalam menjalani kehidupan penuh penderitaan hingga meraih kebahagiaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif fenomenologis dengan subjek penelitian tiga orang tuna daksa yang kehilangan fungsi tubuhnya karena kecelakaan yang dialami minimal lima tahun yang lalu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masing-masing subjek memiliki makna hidup berbeda-beda yang menjadi kekuatan dalam menjalani penderitaan hidup. Hasrat menjalankan peribadatan dan upaya penerimaan diri besar mengarahkan individu pada pencapaian kebermaknaan hidup. Kata kunci: Kebermaknaan Hidup, Penyandang Tuna Daksa, Kecelakaan
THE ROLE OF EMOTION REGULATION AND PARENTAL ATTENTION ON SOCIAL PROBLEM-SOLVING OF BOARDING SCHOOL'S ADOLESCENT. This study aimed to know the correlation of emotion regulation and parental attention to social problem solving of boarding school adolescents. The research subjects were 65 students of SMAN CMBBS who were selected by simple random sampling method. The instruments used are social problem-solving scale, emotion regulation scale, and parental attention scale. Data were analyzed by multiple regression analysis. The results showed that there was a significant correlation between emotion regulation and parental attention with social problem solving for SMAN CMBBS adolescents, with p = 0.00 (R = 0.699). Partial correlation test proves that there is a significant correlation between emotional regulation and social problem solving for SMAN CMBBS adolescents (p = 0.00; rx1y = 0.549). Partial correlation also proves that there is a significant relationship of parental attention to social problem solving for adolescent CMBBS (p = 0.032; rx2y = 0.268). This study concludes that there is a significant correlation between emotion regulation and parental attention to social problem solving of SMAN CMBBS adolescents.
Abstract-Migrant employees at Palaran Port, Samarinda, encounter different social and cultural environment compared with their hometown, living and working in multiethnic social environment, and being separated from their head family and hometown. Referring those situations, the quality of their emotional maturity and social adjustment had high possibility for directing psychological well-being state. This research investigated the relationship between emotional maturity and social adjustment with psychological well-being of migrant employees at PT Pelabuhan Samudera Palaran Samarinda. The research was a population study and consisting of forty-two people as respondents. Three instruments were used in this research. The research was using multiple linear regression analysis to determine relationship between emotional maturity and social adjustment with psychological well-being. The result showed there was positive, strong, and significant relationship between emotion maturity and social adjustment to the psychological well-being of migrant employees at PT Pelabuhan Samudera Palaran Samarinda. Based on additional analysis, there was positive, moderate, and significant correlation between emotional maturity and psychological well-being, and also a positive, weak, and significant correlation between social adjustment and psychological well-being. While quality of emotional maturity was followed by social adjustment would lead to high psychological well-being state, the quality of emotional maturity wasn't followed by social adjustment would lead to moderate psychological wellbeing state and the quality of social adjustment that wasn't followed by emotional maturity would lead to weak psychological well-being state.
This quantitative correlation study aims to determine the relationship between social adjustment and servant leadership on alumni of the Compassion Indonesia leadership development program. The data collection method used a social adjustment scale (α=0.891) and a servant leadership one (α=0.884) to 175 alumni. Based on the results of the analysis using simple linear regression analysis, the r-value was 0.699 and the p-value was 0.000 (p <0.050) at a significance level of 5%. It shows that there is a relationship between social adjustment and servant leadership. The analysis shows that the R2 value is 0.488 or there is an effective contribution of 48.8% on servant leadership by social adjustment. This study concludes that there is a significant relationship between social adjustment and servant leadership on alumni of the Compassion Indonesia leadership development program.
