AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan penerapan model Learning Cycle 7E pada materi interaksi makhluk hidup di SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experimental design, yaitu dengan rancangan pretest-posttest control group design, pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 8 dan SMP Negeri 18 Banda Aceh. Instrument penelitian menggunakan tes soal pilihan ganda yang berjumlah 30 butir dan angket motivasi belajar peserta didik. Analisis data perbedaan hasil belajar kelas kontrol dan eksperimen menggunakan uji idependent sampel t-test dan uji Mann Whitney pada taraf signifikan 0,05. Angket motivasi peserta didik dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa motivasi belajar kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berbeda secara signifikan dengan perolehan nilai Z hitung 3,211 >Z tabel 1,96. Hasil belajar kelas eksperimen dan kontrol juga berbeda secara signifikan dengan perolehan nilai (t hitung 8,06>t tabel 1,99). Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini yaitu terdapat perbedaan motivasi dan hasil belajar belajar peserta didik antara kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol peserta didik di SMP N 8 dan SMP N 18 Banda Aceh.Kata kunci: Learning Cycle 7E, Motivasi Belajar, Hasil Belajar, Interaksi Makhluk Hidup ABSTRACTThis study aimed to understand the difference between motivation and learning achievement Learning Cycle 7E Model in learning of interaction of living organism in Senior High School. The method of study was quasi experimental design and samples were purposively selected by technique of purposive sampling. The study was conducted in SMP Negeri 8 and SMP Negeri 18 Banda Aceh. Data were collected by using 30 multiple choice questions and questionnaire to measure learning motivation of students. In case, the difference of learning achievement of controlled class and experimental class was analyzed by independent test of ttest on significant 0,05. Then, questionnaire of learning motivation was analyzed by using descriptive statistic Z hitung 3,211 >Z tabel 1,96. According to data, the results showed (1) learning motivation of students of experimental class and controlled class was significantly different with (2) learning achievement of students of experimental class and controlled class was strongly different with t-test (t arithmatic 8,06 > t table 1,998) on significant level of (α=0.05), Therefore, it can be concluded that there was any difference between motivation and learning achievement of experimental class and controlled class,of students in SMP Negeri 8 and SMP Negeri 18 Banda Aceh.
Aims: Cancer in children can adversely affect their quality of life. Evaluation of health related quality of life (HRQoL) during the process of treatments is important for recognition of acute dysfunction related to therapy and disease. The aims of this study was to assess the HRQoL of cancer children with using the Pediatric Quality of Life InventoryTM (PedsQLTM) and to assess the influence of cancer type dan duration of treatment to their quality of life. Methodology: This cross-sectional study was conducted at the age of 2-18 years of pediatric cancer patient in the Children Haematology Oncology’s Ward at the Ulin Hospital Banjarmasin from November to Desember 2022. Subject and their parents were assessed using the PedsQLTM Generic Core Scales and Cancer Module, which consist of parent-report and/ or child-report. Results: A total number of 59 children participated in this study, mean age 8.4 years old, 38 (64.41%) were male. Non solid tumor represented 62.5% of the sample, with the highest percentage for leukemia (62.71%). Parent had reports about having lower quality of life on the assessment than their children (p< 0.05). Children with solid tumor had more problem in procedural anxiety than non-solid tumor, and HRQoL children with duration of therapy more than 1 year was significantly better than the children who had duration of therapy less than 1 year on pain and hurt domain (p< 0.05). Conclusion: Children cancer in Ulin Hospital Banjarmasin have low quality of life based on parent reports, especially in school function. Children cancer with solid tumor had more problem in procedural anxiety, and also shorter duration of therapy had more problem in pain and hurt. Special care and psychosocial support to children and their parent is needed to improve their HRQoL during treatment.
The activeness of students in learning is of course very necessary because by activating their five senses, they will learn more meaningfully. One of the teaching methods that can activate students' five senses is the inquiry method. The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in science learning outcomes at MIS Gampong Mutia. The design of this study used a control group posttest design. The instrument used is a test of learning outcomes for the material structure and function of plant parts. The results showed that there was an increase in science learning outcomes in classes that applied the inquiry method. So it can be said that this guided inquiry method is appropriate for use on the material structure and function of plant parts
