Both natural and artificial lighting plays an important role in everyday human activities. Natural lighting conditions are responsible for energy consumption in buildings, where lack of natural lighting can increase electricity consumption for artificial lighting. The architectural studio classroom at the Department of Architecture, Universitas Trisakti, requires sufficient illumination so that room users able to do hand drawing, digital drawing, and lecture activities comfortably. To achieve such visual comfort, illumination level of the dominant activity in the studio classroom has to meet the SNI 03-2396-2001 standards by using an effective and efficient natural and artificial lighting systems. In the green building criteria by the Green Building Council Indonesia, the minimum standard for the daylight area is 30% of the total space area. The purpose of this paper is to design a new lamp grouping of Universitas Trisakti’s Architectural Studio Room in order to reduce energy consumption for lighting while increase visual comfort. This study conducted using DIALux Evo 9. From the simulation results offered a more efficient lighting installation grouping.
Kawasan Tambora, Jakarta Barat, merupakan kawasan dengan tingkat kejadian bencana kebakaran yang tinggi (Dahlia, 2018). BPS (2017, 2018, 2019) mencatat terjadi 104 kali kejadian bencana kebakaran dalam kurun waktu 3 tahun dari tahun 2016 sampai dengan tahun 2018, di mana bencana kebakaran ini didominasi oleh sambungan arus pendek. Kondisi ini disertai dengan kondisi fisik lingkungan yang tidak sesuai dengan standar keamanan dan keselamatan baik dari aspek infrastruktur maupun material yang digunakan pada bangunan, serta perilaku warga dalam menggunakan instalasi kelistrikan yang tidak aman. Kegiatan PKM oleh tim PKM Jurusan Arsitektur Usakti ini dimaksudkan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan antisipasi masyarakat mengenai warga dan kawasan tanggap bencana sehingga frekuensi bencana kebakaran dapat menurun, melalui penyuluhan mengenai warga dan kawasan yang tanggap bencana kebakaran, serta pendampingan pembuatan jalur evakuasi bencana untuk kawasan RW 02 Kelurahan Krendang, Kecamatan Tambora, Jakarta Barat. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatori dengan perangkat RW 02 dan perwakilan warga melalui focus group discussion (FGD). Tim PKM dan warga membahas bersama rencana jalur evakuasi bencana yang direncanakan oleh Tim PKM dan melakukan penyesuaian terhadap rencana tersebut pada saat FGD berlangsung. Hasil akhir dari kegiatan ini adalah didapatkannya draft rencana jalur evakuasi bencana yang siap dikembangkan lebih lanjut.
Building comfort is closely related to occupant productivity. Thermal comfort is closely related to energy consumption in buildings because they are both affected by air temperature. The Community Service Team for the Architecture Department, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning, Universitas Trisakti was carried out in collaboration with partners, namely RW 02 Krendang Village, Tambora District, West Jakarta. RW 02 Kelurahan Krendang is in an area with medium to high density with surface cover dominated by roofs and road surfaces. Therefore, through this activity, the team provided planning assistance for comfort in buildings in the RW 02 area of Krendang Village with the aim that residents can find out alternative thermally comfortable building designs and be able to plan for them in the future independently. The method of carrying out this activity is carried out by counseling and training in calculating the material requirements for cool roofs through online, which begins with lectures and discussions in the form of questions and answers. In addition, before and after the activity the participants were given pretest and posttest as indicators of success. This is to find out the understanding of residents regarding the material presented about the concept of efforts to increase thermal comfort using a cool roof. Based on the results of the pretest, in the first question as many as 42.9% of respondents answered correctly, while in the posttest it increased to 66.7%. In the second question, the results of the pretest were 28.6% of the respondents who answered correctly and the results of the posttest were 66.7% of the respondents who answered correctly. Thus, from this activity it is known that the knowledge and understanding of the community is increasing and the awareness of residents is increasing regarding the comfort of buildings and the selection of materials that are safe for the health of residents.
Including BPS in learning design processes in architectural colleges has been widely practiced. However, the use of BPS for undergraduate students is still very minimal because it is often considered too complex for undergraduate students. In an effort to introduce BPS to undergraduate students, in the Building and Environment Simulation course, an elective course offered by Architecture Department of Universitas Trisakti, students are asked to simulate natural lighting and provide design improvements to initial conditions using lighting passive design strategies. This study was conducted to evaluate students’ theoretical knowledge of passive lighting design strategies and experience using Dialux as a lighting simulation tools and to determine the relationship between theoretical knowledge and selected lighting passive design approaches. From the result of this study, there are important notes that can be used for the development of BPS and Building Physics learning in undergraduate level.
Pemanfaatan tepi sungai memiliki pengaruh dalam kegiatan perlindungan sungai. Padaumumnya dikenal sebagai waterfront, daerah terjadinya pertemuan antara sumber air dengandaratan. Waterfront, sebuah ruang yang diwujudkan untuk melakukan beragam aktivitas bagipublik. Sebuah waterfront dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai ruang terbuka. Ruang Terbukamemiliki peran kunci untuk menciptakan suasana yang dapat meningkatkan interaksi sosialmasyarakat. Pemanfaatan ini terletak di Galeri Nasional Indonesia (GNI), berlokasi di tengahkota yang dimana memiliki kebutuhan ruang terbuka lebih banyak. Adapun maksud daripenulisan ini untuk memenuhi kebutuhan ruang kota agar dapat memiliki hubungan langsungdengan alam. Pemanfaatan kawasan ini tepatnya berada pada bagian tepi sungai belakangGNI, berhadapan langsung dengan sungai Ciliwung. Tujuan yang dapat dikembangkanberdasarkan penulisan ini berupa kesimpulan dari pemanfaatan ruang terbuka publik. Ruangterbuka publik diharapkan dapat mewadahi berbagai kegiatan yang ada di sekitar daerah tepisungai.
