This article presents a critical analysis of the main modern approaches to the problem of meta-argumentation and suggests a method for developing a general conception of meta-argumentation. A set of theoretical-methodological difficulties (aporias) along this path is revealed. Overcoming these aporias would constitute the main steps toward developing the body of a theory of meta-argumentation.Keywords: argumentation, theory of argumentation, metatheory, metaargumentation, models of meta-argumentation, aporia, aporias of metaargumentation. The recent article by Hasmik Hovhannisyan in Metaphilosophy suggested an important clarification of the guidelines for the Rhodian and Platonic models of meta-argumentation, showed their areas of application, and conducted an analysis of contemporary conceptions of meta-argumentation (Hovhannisyan 2015). To further the development of a general theory of metaargumentation, in the present article we place the emphasis on the set of major difficult theoretical-methodological questions (aporias) encountered in the process of constructing a theory of meta-argumentation.One can point to three main interpretations of the term "metaargumentation" in the works of contemporary researchers:(1) Meta-argumentation as the study of models of a general theory of meta-argumentation (Brutian
In case of fire, in addition to the stress due to permanent load, the thermal stress caused by the thermal expansion occurs in a steel frame. Therefore, if the deformation caused by the thermal stress at fire condition is concentrated at a connection, there is a possibility that the connection will be failed before the steel frame reaches its ultimate state. Considering such a phenomenon, it is necessary to analyze the stress and deformation of a heated steel frame in fire condition using thermal stress analysis. In this paper, the numerical analysis model on deformation behavior of friction type high strength bolted splice connection at elevated temperature on the basis of component-based model is discussed. Also, by comparing the analysis result using this model with previous experimental results, suitability of this analytical model is shown.
This paper presents the main paradoxes of the theory of human cognition, namely the paradoxes of epistemology and methodology. Each of paradoxes is given its laconic solution using a more strict definition of relevant concepts. Suggested solutions could be helpful in developing further the complete teaching of human cognition.
This paper presents the basics of Academic Brutian's conception of transformational logic and the application of its methodological means to the study of optimal ways for transforming former socialist system of Armenia into social state in the frame of capitalist free market economy. Keywords: transformational logic, transformational analysis, social transformation. The author of transformational logic -academician Georg Brutian -intended to develop rules for transforming implicit forms of thought into explicit ones. (Brutian 1984(Brutian , 1995(Brutian , 1998 Later it has been realized that the field of transformational logic was much broader yet mainly bounded to processes of thinking and epistemology. (Djidjian 1992(Djidjian , 2004(Djidjian , 2006.) This kind epistemological extension of Brutian's conception is quite natural since his main concept of forms of thought rises from the task of generalizing scientific thinking and its laws. The specific side of transformational logic is that that it starts by revealing
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
