AbstractPlans to prevent violence at school should include not only physical but also verbal manifestations. Language is also the source of the problem, especially in cases of gender violence, and essentially brings together part of the solution. We recognize the underlying role of education in violence care and surveillance as a prerequisite for achieving equality between women and men. With our proposal, based on the study of anti-bullying programs and prevention of sexist behavior, we consider ten guidelines of verbal communication for the prevention of gender violence and promoting equality, aimed at teachers and recommended to political educational and educational institutions.
AbstractReports and statistics about joint responsibility in household work and in the sustainability of life have assessed the inequalities between men and women in the distribution of care and domestic functions up until the present moment. Our hypothesis is that some general household tasks have been ignored. Our research aims to check which tasks remain invisible even today, so that they can be incorporated into future analysis. The last objective is to collaborate with this visibility towards its social assessment, a first step to true joint responsibility as an indispensable aspiration of gender equality.
Bullying refers to degrading actions, recurring and prolonged, exerted by minors on an equal. Physical or virtual assaults and insults, rejections or intimidations that hinder the victims’ school activity and cause them to feel continually threatened are examples of bullying and cyberbullying, which have serious repercussions, not only on the emotional well-being and academic performance, but also on physical and mental health. It is necessary to build a citizenship engaged to education (Global Citizenship Education) to prevent bullying, and to work in other Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The solutions must involve families and teachers, particularly in the context of regulated education, where participation can be promoted in a more planned and controlled way. Expert approaches insist on the relevance of the school to prevent aggression and discrimination through critical and reflective attitudes towards the violence that surrounds these situations. It is about teaching students to reject them ab initio as inappropriate. The aim of this paper is to identify the characteristics of the interventions aimed at the prevention and detection of physical and psychological violence among school children in various settings and populations, specifically in Spain, as well as their results and controversial aspects. Keywords: bullying, violence, harassment, prevention, global citizen education, sustainable development goals
The educational process always involves a relationship with value: in essence and foundation it is valuable. Always framed by legal contexts, it is possible to say that, since it is educational, the Royal Decree 126/2014 is based on values. In this research an analysis of the axiological content of this basic curriculum is carried out, concretely the block dedicated to literary education. The study starts from an integral approach of education to which literature contributes with a fundamental paper. The objective is to demonstrate how this is represented in the referenced legal text, stimulating the consideration of elements that may lead to an improvement in future normative actions, including the strengthening of the role of the children’s and youth literature in this process.
