A schema for analyzing contributions to data-based professional publications, assigning relative weights, and thereby determining the appropriate order of listing authors and identifying ancillary contributions is suggested. An example application of the procedure is also presented.
In order for colleges to have a beneficial impact on the intellectual and personality development of students, academic and student affairs divisions must work collaboratively; academic advising should be the touchstone for their integrated efforts.
A stratified random sample of college student affairs divisions was surveyed to assess the depth and breadth of student paraprofessional use. More than 72% of the responding institutions reported having one or more student paraprofessional programs.
This study explored the level of involvement in associations by professionals in the state of Georgia at different stages of their student affairs careers. Involvement in associations decreased as the level of the professionals position increased.
