The education of orang basudara (literally translated as brothers and sisters) is a process of developing higher education that is rooted in the local wisdom of the people in Moluccas, it is the culture of living as brothers and sisters. The education of orang basudara on one side is aimed to shape the capacity of human's intellectual, and on other side, to shape the human's characters which receive and respect the reality of pluralism, and it will contribute to develop and maintain peace among the people of Moluccas that just moved out from the social conflict. This research uses the qualitative method. The locus is in the Indonesia Maluku Christian University. This university was a victim of conflict but had the strong commitment to keep the Education of orang basudara in order to develop and maintain peace in the Moluccas. The result of this research can be an example of reconstructing the role of the higher education in developing and maintaining peace in the middle of plural society.
LGBTIQ behavior raises pros and cons in society. The purpose of this study is to analyze LGBTIQ behavior from the perspective of Criminal Law and Christian Doctrine related to the issue of law and morality. The research method used is juridical legal research using a statute approach and a conceptual approach. The data source used is secondary data consisting of primary legal materials, secondary legal materials and tertiary legal materials related to writing. Data collection techniques through literature study and analyzed qualitatively. The results and discussion show that in the Criminal Code (KUHP) and the new Draft Bill (RUU) the KUHP only regulates the behavior of obscene adults to adults who are the same sex (both men and men or women with women. While other behaviors are not regulated. In addition, this LGBTIQ issue also entered into church life, including the Maluku Protestant Church (GPM). There are GPM residents who are included in LGBTIQ people. Whose existence raises the pros and cons of church members. Therefore, GPM as a religious institution, also takes part in addressing this issue in terms of the teachings of the Christian faith. This GPM attitude was stated in the Teachings of the Maluku Protestant Churches (GPM) which were the products of the Persidangan Sinode GPM of 2016.It is expected that there are strict and clear regulations in Criminal Law related to LGBTIQ sexual behavior and sustainable pastoral guidance in order to restore LGBTIQ people as whole people. In the Protestantism tradition, proclaiming God's Word through preaching is an important element in worship. This can be seen in the setting of the pulpit which is usually located in the center of the church architecture, in the middle of the order of worship, higher than the pew. This God's Word has been proclaimed since the early Christianity even before it, until nowadays. As long as the church exists, the God's Word will still be proclaimed. This proclamation of God's Word is based on the Bible. It is biblical preaching. The proclaimed Bible was written and booked in some centuries ago, in the very far place from the people of God in the Moluccas hic et nunc (here and now). The reality is the congregations are living in the post modern era, as "the digitalized audiences". This context of the audiences cannot be denied or avoided by the preachers. To neglect this reality means to present an ineffective preaching. Vice versa, to make the preaching is more effective and transformative, then a preacher has to address this context of the digitalized audiences, the congregations. Addressing this context is not only about saying it in a sermon or during a preaching. This has to be started even in sermon preparation. In reality, many preachers do not referse to this context. This article will present the characteristics of the digitalized audiences (congregations) that has to be concerned by a preacher in the preaching construction, deconstruction and reconstruction process, so the God's Word will still alive in the context of the digitalized congregations.
