Background: - Neck pain is one of the common musculoskeletal problems faced by tailors due to constant work on the sewing machine with the awkward posture. Aim:-The aim of study is to nd out the prevalence of neck pain among Tailors. Objective:-To nd out the prevalence of neck pain among Tailors use of self questionnaire. Materials And Methodology:-Across sectional study was performed among 100 tailors working in North Gujarat to determine the prevalence of neck pain in them. Aself – questionnaire was used. Result: - 91% prevalence of neck pain was found among the tailors in North Gujarat. Also 67% tailors have activity limitation. Conclusion: -The prevalence of neck pain among Tailors in North Gujarat is found to be highest (91%). Neck pain is one of the common condition contributing to the increase in functional disability
Introduction: A various non- neoplastic and neoplastic lesions of sinonasal tract and nasopharynx (NP) are commonly present in clinical practice. The aim of this study is to study clinical and histopathological patterns of lesions of sinonasal tract and nasopharynx in a tertiary care hospital over the period of January 2022 to June 2022. This study of 121 cases (Male 82, Female 39) of nas Methods & Material: al cavity, paranasal sinuses and nasopharynx over the period of 6 months. All received tissues after examination, xed in 10% buffered formalin, processed and stained with Hematoxylin & Eosin to study histopathological patterns. These nasal, paranasa Results: l and nasopharynx lesions were common in sixth and seventh decade of life. Among them 70 (57.85%) non neoplastic and 51 (42.14%) neoplastic lesions. Mucormycosis (23.96%) and polyps (17.35%) were the most common among the non- neoplastic masses; Inverted papilloma (2.47%) most common among benign neoplastic and squamous cell carcinoma (30.75%) was commonest out of all malignant masses. Conclusions: We concluded that complete clinical, radiological/imaging and histopathological helps to categorized lesions into various non-neoplastic and neoplastic types. But histopathological examinations provide a conrmatory diagnosis. Although immunohistochemistry is the nal diagnostic method in few cases.
BACKGROUND: Sciatica is a radiating pain that is caused due to the impingement in bony structures. Cupping is a simple application of quick, vigorous, rhythmical strokes to stimulate muscles and it's also helpful in the treatment of aches and pains associated with various disorders. AIM AND OBJECTIVES: AIM:To nd out the effectiveness of cupping therapy on nerve conduction velocity in sciatica. OBJECTIVES:To nd out the effect of cupping therapy on NCV in sciatica. To compare the experimental group to the control group. METHOD: Thirty patients were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The details of the treatment were explained to the subjects and written consent was taken from the patients. They were treated with cupping therapy for three alternative days/week, the patient was reassessed with NPRS and NCV after 4 weeks. RESULTS: The data was analyzed using SPSS version 22.0. A parametric test was used within the group analysis. A signicant improvement in pain and functional status of the nerve was found after 4 weeks. Greater statistically signicant improvement was seen in Group-A (p-value is 0.00) as compared to Group-B CONCLUSIONS: Cupping therapy is effective to reduce pain and improvement in functional status of nerves in Sciatica patients.
Background: Neck pain is a 'discomfort, ache, or pain'. Bus drivers adopt the posture of driving that leads them to suffer from neck pain (60%- 69%) of drivers suffer from it. The Alexander Technique is based on poor posture gives rise to a range of health problems. Theragun aims to help alleviate pain and also increase the range of motion. Aim And Objectives: Aim:To determine the Effect of the alexander technique along with the theragun in neck pain patients among bus drivers. Objectives:To nd out the effect of the alexander technique and theragun on neck pain. To compare the experimental group to the control group. Method: The study population consisted of thirty participants who had undergone neck pain. The subjects will randomly be allocated into two groups: An Experimental Group (n-15) and A Control Group (n-15). The participants who will allocate to an experimental group will complete fourty eight sessions of classic PT for 12 weeks (4 sessions per week) Study setting in OPD, Nootan College of Physiotherapy at Sankalchand Patel University. Results: The data was analyzed using SPSS version 22.0. The parametric test is used within the group analysis. Greater statistically signicant improvement was seen in Group-A (p-value is 0.00) as compared to Group-B. Conclusions: Alexander technique along with theragun is more effective in relieving neck pain, improving the posture and quality of life of bus drivers.
BACKGROUND: Lower back pain (LBP) is very common among general population, those who engage in physical activity, students and geriatric population. The most common type of low back pain is non specic and has no clear diagnostic, prognostic or treatment protocols. Back- school program is used for the prevention and treatment of patients with low back pain. AIM: To nd out the effectiveness of back school method on college students with non specic low back pain. OBJECTIVES: To nd out the effect of back school method on college students with non specic low back pain and to compare the experimental group to the control group. METHOD:30 participants were select based on selection criteria for the study. All the subjects were divided into two groups (Group A and B) using Lottery method. Group A was receiving back school exercise and Group B was the control group. The program is composed of four sessions almost 45 minutes in every session. Before and after the treatment, the NPRS, Roland-Morris Disability Questionnaire [RMDQ], and lumbar spine range of motion has been assessed. RESULTS:Data were statistical analysis using SPSS version 22.0. parametric test was used within the group analysis. The test result showed improvement in group A compared to the control group. CONCLUSIONS: Back school method is more effective in reducing non-specic low back pain; improve posture and improving the quality of life of the participants.
