Abstract The aim of the study was to get the interaction between the time of entries defoliation and shoot grafting model that gave the best Cacao seedling growth. The treatment design consists of two factors, namely the defoliation time of the entries and the top graft model. The time of entries defoliation consists of 4 defoliation times, entres defoliation at the connection (W1), entres defoliation 3 days before connection (W2), entres defoliation 6 days before connection (W3), and entres defoliation 9 days before connection (W4). The connection factor model is tested by two connection models, namely, connecting gap (S1), and diagonal connection (S2). The environmental design used is a randomized block design in factorial patterns. Parameters of cacao seedling growth observed were the percentage of live seedlings (%), time of shoot buds (days), shoot length (cm), shoot diameter (cm), and a number of leaf buds (strands). The results of this research are that there is no interaction between the treatment combination of all observed parameters. The best time for defoliation is 9 days before connection. The defoliation model used shows different results that are not real.
This study was aimed to examine the different natural feeds on the maturnity of freshwater crayfish. The study was conducted on November 20th - January 21th 2021 in the UPTD BBI Lukup Badak, Takengon, Aceh Tengah. Test fish used is seed of cherax quadricarinatus measuring 52-75 g. Methods used in this study was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments in this study were P1 (Tubifex), P2 (505 tubifex, 255 carrots, and 25% sweet potatoes), P3 (50% tubifex, 25% bean sprouts, and 25% sweet potatoes), and P4 (50% tubifex, 25% papaya, and 25% sweet potatoes). Seeds of fish was put in a container maintenance with 42 liters of water volume and density of 1 tails per container. Frequency of feeding was 3 times a day at 08.00 am, 16.00 pm and 20.00 pm. The results showed that different natural feeding teratments had a very significant effect on the absolute weight and gonad maturity indexs (IKG).Keywords: Absolute weight, Cherax quadricarinatus, Gonad, Natural feed.
Shrimp is a type of crustacean biota that lives in fresh, brackish and marine waters. Giant prawns are also freshwater shrimp that have high economic value, and are a fishery commodity that is widely observed by local and foreign consumers. Consumer demand for shrimp commodities has experienced a shift towards meeting the need for live shrimp. One of the methods used in the process of optimally transporting shrimp is to perform shrimp anesthesia with the aim to maintain the fiological and morphological conditions of the shrimp, so that the shrimp is expected to arrive in a state of life by using green betel leaf extract. The design used in this study is complete randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments with 5 replications namely in the treatment of 1 immersion at a dose of 50 ml / 4 liters of water, 2 immersion treatment at a dose of 100 ml / 4 liters of water, 3 immersion treatment at a dose of 150 ml / 4 liters water and 4 immersion treatment with a dose of 200 ml / 4 liters of water. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the difference in the dose of green betel leaf extract significantly affects the time of fainting and conscious time of giant prawns, the best dose that can be given to shrimp as an anesthetic during transportation dry system for ± 6 hours is treatment 4 namely with ex dose betel leaf powder 200 ml / 4 L water.
