Improving the quality of education must begin at the lowest level of the education unit. Effective, efficient and collaborative principal leadership is needed in schools so that the quality of Education is maintained and also improved. In the issue of independence and creativity in school education management is very dependent on the reliability of a principal, where the principal has greater authority to make decisions related to school management policies compared to the education management system managed by the central government. Meanwhile, in terms of openness, accountability of school management, the principal as a manager in managing and managing the school should pay attention to school management inputs. The purpose of this study is to see the impact of school principal leadership on the quality of Education. This research is a type of literature study with descriptive method. The results of Synergy Research and collaboration between the leadership of the principal with all school residents absolutely must be done. Because the results of synergy and collaboration have a great influence on the process of improving the quality of education within the educational unit. Things like this need to be committed together. So that the impact of these results can be felt throughout the school community, especially the quality of schools in various aspects.
The study aimed to prove the effectiveness of the application of the Beyond Centers and Circles Time methods on coursework writing, measuring improved writing skills and the attitude of prospective English lecturers' learners after applying the methods of Beyond Centers and Circles Time and knowing learner responses to the application of the methods of Beyond Centers and Circles Time. This type of research is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using posttest Experiment Group design pretests. The result shows the changing occurs in learners' writing skill which means that there is an increasing in the pretests value to the posttest with an average N-Gain of moderate criteria is 0.56, from the test results the P-value is 0.000, if the P-value < 0.005 can be concluded that the method Beyond Centers and Circles Time effectively applied to the course of writing, there is a percentage increase in scientific stance at each of the lowest meetings of 52.00% and the highest percentage of 84.80. Conclusion of the results that the implementation of the method of Beyond Centers and Circles Time was obtained that the increase in writing skill and the scientific attitudes of prospective lecturers and learners gave positive responses to the application of Beyond Centers and Circles Time method.
This study aims to determine the effect of servant leadership and psychological contract on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). To achieve this goal, this study uses a quantitative approach and data collection techniques using questionnaires. The survey was conducted from June 2018 - March 2019 by involving of 115 lecturers at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The sample in this study was determined by purposive sampling technique using the Slovin formula and instrument testing as many as 20 lecturers. The findings from the results of this study indicate: first, the existence of leadership influences that serve directly positively and significantly towards organizational citizenship behavior with a path coefficient of 0.332. Second, there is a direct positive psychological contract influence on organizational citizenship behavior with a path coefficient of 0.304. Third, the influence of leadership that serves is directly positive and significant for psychological contracts with a path coefficient of 0.290. Based on the results of this study, organizational citizenship behavior of lecturers can be improved by strengthening leadership that serves, namely leadership that prioritizes the interests of lecturers (subordinates) compared to the interests of their own leadership.Psychological contracts intended to improve organizational citizenship behavior of lecturers by fulfilling shared obligations, lecturers' trust in promises and agreements with organizations. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh servant leadership (kepemimpinan yang melayani) dan psychological contract (kontrak psikologis) terhadap oraganizational citizenship behavior (OCB). Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan angket. Survey dilakukan sejak bulan Juni 2018 – Maret 2019 dengan melibatkan 115 dosen Fakultas Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Sampel dalam penelitian ini ditentukan dengan teknik purposive samplingmenggunakan rumus Slovin dan ujicoba instrumen sebanyak 20 dosen. Temuan dari hasil penelitian ini mengindikasikan: pertama, adanya pengaruh kepemimpinan yang melayani secara langsung positif dan signifikan terhadap organizational citizenship behavior dengan koefisien jalur 0,332. Kedua, adanya pengaruh kontrak psikologis secara langsung positif terhadap organizational citizenship behavior dengan koefisien jalur 0,304. Ketiga, adanya pengaruh kepemimpinan yang melayani secara langsung positif dan signifikan terhadap kontrak psikologis dengan koefisien jalur 0,290. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, organizational citizenship behavior dosen dapat ditingkatkan dengan memperkuat kepemimpinan yang melayani, yaitu kepemimpinan yang mengutamakan kepentingan dosen (bawahan) dibanding kepentingan pimpinannya sendiri. Kontrak psikologis yang dimaksudkan untuk meningkatkan organizational citizenship behavior dosen dengan memenuhi kewajiban bersama, kepercayaan dosen terhadap janji dan kesepakatan dengan organisasi. The purpose of this study is to explore deeply teaching factory at Technical and Vocational High School. Teaching factory is the best method of teaching and learning to integrate and to bridge the process of achieving competences of the students and required skills needed by the industrial company. This unique four pillars teaching factory consist of four components, that interconnected for each other, namely block schedule, physical product, job sheet, and corporate culture. This study used the qualitative approach with case study method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation, participant observation, and documentation of the research informants comprising the school principal, viceprincipal of curriculum and instruction, head expertise program. The data collected was analyzed through the process of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The result of the research show that Catholic Technical High School of St. Michael Surakarta has his own unique teaching factory with certain management in order to enrich the students with competences so that they will be ready to work in the industrial company. It is expected that this research would be a meaningful reference for the relevant researchers, and educational practitioner who wants to develop the technical or vocational education.
