A La–N-codoped NaTaO3 photocatalyst was synthesized by the solid-state reaction and thermal ammonolysis method. The photocatalytic reactions showed that La–N-codoped NaTaO3 has high activity of H2 evolution (7.0 µmol h−1) and long time stability under visible-light irradiation (λ > 420 nm). DFT calculations suggested that the visible-light absorption of La–N-codoped NaTaO3 originated from the transition of electrons from the impurity states to the bottom of the conduction band.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
