The article presents an in-depth study of literature related to modern digital technologies and methods that are used within the framework of the author’s innovative methodology „Module Makey“ — part of the CDL Model. The sequence of the methodology, which is intended for implementation through projectbased work in the Bulgarian language and literature classes in the fourth grade, is described in detail. Makey Makey technology, Scratch visual-block programming language, Easi-Speak Microphone digital microphones, Edublogs web-based platform, Flipped classroom method are used. An author’s web-based platform „Teacher’s Blog“ has been developed, the purpose of which is to support the learning process. Its content includes both information about the studied content and guidelines for the students’ work. The experimental work of the Makey Module in practice is not the subject of the current article, but its results show that it increases both students’motivation to learn and their basic digital, linguistic, and contextual competences.
The paper presents the main components and an overview of the educational subject „Computing in the education system” in England. It is considered as a classification of the educational key stages by students ages in England. All Computing national programmes, which have to be followed from the schools when they create their own curriculums, have been presented in different age groups. In addition, the paper summarises the changes in the educational system for „Informational Technologies” and „Computer modelling” in primary school in Bulgaria. It includes the key competences for student’s development according to competences approach framework from the Bulgarian Ministry of Education.
