College libraries have the task of supporting the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education, one of which is community service. In this case the library also carries out the task of collecting, processing, storing, presenting and disseminating information to the public. That is, the library has a role in building the literate generation. An effort is needed to program activities that can improve capabilities in the field of information retrieval. It is on this basis that this library-based community service activity is carried out. This activity was carried out with the literacy socialization method as well as a library tour or library tour targeting all new students in the UIN KH Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan environment with the aim of gaining basic literacy skills in their academic life. From the results of the service, it was found that this activity was well received and had benefits that could be felt directly by the participants of the activity. This means that efforts to increase literacy actually need to be framed in an integrated movement, not partial, individually or determined by certain groups but must be collaborative
ABSTRACT Students are required to complete a final project/thesis as one of the requirements for graduation in college. Students who are pursuing a bachelor's degree must complete a thesis as one of their final assignments. Scientific works made by students as evidence of academic proficiency in conducting research are also included in the thesis. The service activity uses the presentation method of discussion and question and answer. This method is carried out by the presenters and training participants, so as to maximize the participants' knowledge about the search process, the methods used and how to formulate problems. The purpose of the training is to motivate IAIN Pekalongan students that tips and tricks are needed in making thesis titles. The output of the thesis title submission training that can be obtained is that students are able to compose a good and correct thesis title. Then add knowledge and skills in word processing. In the future, with the training, students are expected to be able to implement the thesis title mechanism. So in this case the sharing activities did not dampen the enthusiasm of the students to take part in this training. Keyword: student, training, title, thesis Abstrak Mahasiswa wajib menyelesaikan tugas akhir/skripsi sebagai salah satu syarat kelulusan di perguruan tinggi. Mahasiswa yang sedang mengejar gelar sarjana harus menyelesaikan skripsi sebagai salah satu tugas akhir mereka. Karya ilmiah yang dibuat oleh mahasiswa sebagai bukti kemahiran akademik dalam melakukan penelitian juga termasuk dalam skripsi. Kegiatan pengabdian menggunakan metode presentasi diskusi dan tanya jawab. Metode ini dilakukan oleh pemateri dan peserta pelatihan, sehingga memaksimalkan pengetahuan peserta mengenai proses pencarian judul, metode yang digunakan serta bagaimana cara merumuskan masalah. Tujuan dilakukan pelatihan untuk memotivasi para mahasiswa IAIN Pelakalongan bahwa diperlukan tips dan trik dalam pembuatan judul skripsi. Pelatihan pengajuan judul skripsi output yang dapat di peroleh adalah mahasiswa mampu merangkai judul skripsi yang baik dan benar. Kemudian menambah pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengolah kata. Kedepannya dengan adanya pelatihan mahasiswa diharapkan dapat mengimplementasikan mekanisme judul skripsi. Sehingga dalam hal tersebut kegiatan sharing tidak merendam semangat para mahasiswa untuk mengikuti pelatihan ini. Kata Kunci: mahasiswa, pelatihan, judul, skripsi
Abstract Students' independence education is a form of education that aims to instill an independent spirit, both within the self, school, and community environment through various activities and habits. Self-management means putting things in order, both in life, the use of time, choices, interests, and activities, as well as in physical and mental balance. It pushes oneself forward, regulates all personal elements, controls the potential for progress to achieve good things, and develops various aspects of personal life to make it more perfect. The purpose of this study was to find out the obstacles faced by female students in implementing independence and self-management education and the solutions offered to overcome these problems. This type of research is qualitative and the method used to obtain data is the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the independence education applied in the Assalafiyah II Islamic boarding school in Brebes Regency was to require students to prepare learning books that were neatly arranged according to the day and subject, follow extracurricular organizations, muhadhoroh or routine speeches alternately every week, and individual activities demanded to carry out the needs independently such as eating, bathing, studying, even in managing pocket money. Meanwhile, in self-management, it is seen that students have consistency between thoughts, words, and actions. Then the ability to determine the priority scale between the task of reading the Koran, extracurricular organizations, as well as personal affairs, and being able to hold leadership both for oneself and for others. Keywords: students, Islamic boarding school, education, independence, self-management Abstrak Pendidikan kemandirian santriwati merupakan bentuk pendidikan yang bertujuan untuk menanamkan jiwa mandiri, baik dalam diri, sekolah maupun lingkungan masyarakat melalui berbagai kegiatan dan pembiasaan. Manajemen diri berarti menempatkan segala sesuatu secara teratur, baik dalam hidup, penggunaan waktu, pilihan, kepentingan, kegiatan, serta dalam keseimbangan fisik dan mental. Hal ini mendorong diri untuk maju, mengatur semua unsur pribadi, mengendalikan potensi kemajuan untuk mencapai hal-hal yang baik, dan mengembangkan berbagai aspek kehidupan pribadi untuk membuatnya lebih sempurna. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kendala-kendala yang dihadapi santriwati dalam mengimplemenatasikan pendidikan kemandirian dan manajemen diri dan solusi ditawarkan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dan metode yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data adalah metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pendidikan kemandirian yang diterapkan di pondok pesantren Assalafiyah II Kabupaten Brebes adalah dengan mewajibkan santriwati menyiapkan buku pembelajaran yang ditata rapi sesuai hari dan mata pelajarannya, mengikuti organisasi ekstrakulikuler, muhadhoroh atau pidato rutin bergantian setiap minggu, dan kegiatan individu menuntut untuk melaksanakan keperluan pribadinya secara mandiri seperti makan, mandi, belajar, bahkan dalam mengelola uang saku. Sedangakan dalam manajemen diri yang terlihat adalah santriwati memiliki konsistensi antara pikiran, ucapan, dan tindakan. Kemudian kemampuan menentukan skala prioriatas antara tugas mengaji, organisasi ektrakulikuler, maupun urusan pribadi serta mampu memegang kepemimpinan baik untuk diri sendiri maupun orang lain.
