Investigations on the System BiOBr/SeO 2 Abstract. The section BiOBr/SeO 2 was shown to be quasibinary and include only one intermediate phase BiOBrŚ eO 2 = BiSeO 3 Br. The phase barogram and the phase diagram were determined by total pressure measurements and DTA. BiSeO 3 Br melts peritectically at 490 ± 3°C and forms an eutectic mixture with SeO 2 at 70 Mol.-% SeO 2 and 210 ± 10°C. From the chemical vapour transport of BiOBr s with SeO 2,g and the sublimation of BiSeO 3 Br s followed the existence of BiSeO 3 Br g molecules in the vapour. The thermodynamic data of the solid and the vapour phase were derived. (Data see Inhaltsu È bersicht)
Investigations on the System BiOCl/SeO 2 .-The quasibinary section BiOCl/SeO 2 contains only one compound, BiSeO 3 Cl, which shows two phase transitions upon heating, α→β at 400 • C and β→γ at 410 • C. The compound melts peritectically at 417 • C. As evidenced by chemical vapor transport experiments, BiSeO 3 Cl molecules exist in the gas phase. Standard thermodynamic data are determined by solution calorimetry and by using vapor pressure and chemical transport rate data. -(OPPERMANN, H.; HUONG, DAO QUOC; ZHANG, M.; SCHMIDT, P.; POPOVKIN, B.
