An improved semi-classical model for post-collision interaction (PCI) in photo-excited Auger decay is presented. A simple analytical expression is obtained by using complex WKB wave functions for the slow electron. The model gives the right asymtotic line-shape at high excess energies and the energy shift of the peak maximum is in agreement with experimental results. New high resolution argon LMM Auger spectra excited by electrons at different excess energies (4.5-2751.0 eV) relative the L3 level in Ar are presented. Extra structures are observed at low excess energies and are tentatively interpreted to be caused by "shake-down" processes of the slow electron. The relative shifts between Kr M5N2,3N2,3(1S 0) and Ar L3M2,3M2,3(1D 2) lines are measured and tabulated. The full widths and the asymmetry parameters at half and quarter maximum are also given.
Abstract. From antiserum to the Rheumatoid factor, i.e. anti‐RF serum, an active principle completely neutralizing the Rheumatoid factor (RF) has been isolated. A method described in this paper was used for the isolation. The RF‐neutralizing fraction, which constitutes a part of the anti‐RF serum, was shown to be a 7 S globulin (γG or IgG), but of a special type. Its main property is the capacity of neutralizing the RF. This γG or IgG does not react with common anti‐γG. It would appear to be a new type of IgG which for the present is denominated IgR.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
