Silicon carbide thin films were obtained on Si (100) and (111) substrates by means of vacuum laser ablation of α SiC ceramic target. The influence of substrate temperature on composition, structure and surface morphology of experimental samples was examined using Rutherford backscattering spectrometry (RBS), Fou rier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), conventional and high res olution transmission electron microscopy (TEM/HRTEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), selected area electron diffraction (SAED) and X ray diffraction (XRD) methods.
Fine-grained powder crystal phosphors SrTiO 3 :Pr 3+ and SrTiO 3 :Pr 3+ , Al have been investigated. Their photoexcitation, luminescence, and photoconductivity spectra have been recorded. It is found that only one center ( ) is responsible for the luminescence in SrTiO 3 :Pr 3+ , while the luminescence in SrTiO 3 :Pr 3+ , Al is due to two centers: ( ) × and . A mechanism of energy transfer upon luminescence excitation from the ( ) × center is proposed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
