The aim of this paper is to review the literatures on technological innovation of industries in relating to the growth of the economy in past decade. The data and ideas on this paper come primarily from review articles relating to the economic development of the nations. The level of success in innovation in the various technology differs among countries because of the different national background and cultures. Innovation technology has always played a critical role for the long-term survival of organizations. This paper serves as a description to the researchers in predicting for the next future study to improve the better quality and standard of living.
Indonesia is the world's largest producer of Crude Palm Oil (CPO). Accordingly, it is vital that Indonesian CPO industries diversify and add value to downstream products. Technological capability is a key component for agricultural-based industries to retain their global competitiveness and holds immense importance in facilitating product-based diversification. In terms of technological capabilities that are specific to agricultural-based industries, unique indicators and parameters have been identified and include research and development, human resources, strategic planning, technology infrastructure, and manufacturing. Having knowledge of organizational technological capabilities can contribute to expanding the range of available downstream Crude Palm Oil (CPO) products. However, the income generated from CPO in Indonesia is currently lower compared to that achieved by its competitors. The current study was conducted on 11 CPO companies in Sumatera Utara Province, Indonesia. The purpose of the study is to develop an assessment tool. The tool is proposed to measure the capability of technology in crude palm oilbased industries. The device developed is also to obtain empirical data in order to determine the capability of technology in CPO companies. The descriptive analysis approach is applied in this study.
Development of Medan has an impact on the waste problem with durian skin significantly and certainly needs to resolve immediately. Innovation by technology development is used to process organic waste to become briquette is one of the ways to solve the waste problem with advantage economically as well as reducing unemployement. The technology built is durian skin chopper, rotary bio carbon machine and briquette press with pneumatic system and amount of tapioca adhesive in order to get effective burning promptness (gr/s). Briquette is made by mixing tapioca adhesive respectively 6 %, 9 %, 12 % and 15 % on durin skin biomass carbon in order to get maximum combustion rate (gr/s). The highest combustion rate is 5915 cal/gr (carbon powder is 34 gr and adhesive 6 %) and the lowest combustion rate is 5611 cal/gr (carbon powder is 34 gr and adhesive 14 %). The lowest adhesive value of variation is 6 % with combustion rate is 0.2616 gr/menit while the highest adhesive value is 15 % with combustion rate is 0.27744 gr/menit. The adhesive containing water will impact on combustion rate.
Manuscript type: Research paper Research aims: This research examines the influence of total quality management (TQM) on service quality (Servqual), TQM on customer satisfaction, and Servqual on customer satisfaction. Design/Methodology/Approach: A sample of 406 customers who made online purchase transactions from technopreneurs in the 33 districts of North Sumatra province was included. The participants were selected using multiple-stage cluster sampling. The sample size of 406 was determined through simple random sampling using the Krejcie and Morgan (1970) table at a 95% confidence level, resulting in a final sample of 198 customers. The collected data were analysed using Pearson correlation analysis. Research findings: TQM significantly influenced Servqual and customer satisfaction, while Servqual directly affected customer satisfaction. Theoretical contribution/Originality: This research provides valuable insights and contributions to technopreneurs by enhancing their managerial knowledge pertaining to customer satisfaction. Practitioner/Policy implication: This research proposes quality management as a strategic approach to enhance technopreneur development. Research limitation/Implications: For future research, there is potential to examine customer satisfaction among technopreneurs during the post-Covid-19 pandemic period.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
